Constellation in Tampa - Fog

Supposed to be boarding today. Got an email last night that port was closed due to fog (I know that can happen in Tampa). Email also said there would be another email around 9:00 AM. It is now 10:20 and there has been nothing from Celebrity. Wait time to call is 90 - 120 minutes.

Just got a notification from the APP telling me to be at the port for my regular check-in time.

Sure would be nice if Celebrity at least sent out some email updates.

Have luggage what terminal will they dock at.  Any suggestion on storing luggage?

Terminal 6 - On another forum some have reported being able to drop off luggage (and then were told to return later).

If boarding is delayed a full day does Celebrity give a prorated refund?

Good question.  Our Horizon cruise delayed its departure on embarkation day (Mar 2005) at Tampa due to fog.  We ended up overnighting there and leaving the next morning.  As a result we lost our first stop (Grand Cayman).  We received a refund on the port fees and that was it.  It is different than this situation because at least we got on the ship on time.

Keep in mind if the ships can not make it into port because of heavy fog, Tampa airport operations for inbound and outbound flights will also be affected.

The local Tampa new station showed the arrival and departure board at TPA.  There were many delayed and cancelled flights because of the fog.

Part of the story also involved the excellent job done by the local  county sheriff's deputies at keeping order at the port terminals for incoming passengers  by making sure that the terminal drop off areas and parking lots were clear of departing guests before allowing incoming passengers.

Curious about those on board - I assume they gave you meals but did you still have access to your cabin.  Still able to drink etc?   Just wondering what the protocols were.

The day was just like any other Sea Day.  Needed to be out of cabins by 3:30pm.  But food and drink kept going till about 6pm.

Does anyone know if there is a mah jongg set onboard?

There did not appear to be any mahjong sets in the library (Deck 8) where the board games are kept during our Constellation TA cruise back in Oct/Nov.
