Small Steamer Allowed

Are small steamers still allowed by HAL? We’ve used before but its been several yrs. Does the wrinkle out spray really work? Thanks. 42 days!

Nope...  hot water in a spray bottle is all you need.  Spritz as you unpack & hang.

Hang wrinkled stuff from shower curtain rod, run tub water on hot with drain open.  Close bathroom door for 30 mins and voila.  Age old, proven technique.

Which has just wasted 150+  gallons of water, not to mention the fuel needed to make that water in the first place, and the fuel needed to treat the wastewater after.

Good points from the Chief Engineer.  

 

Wrinkle spray is good.  I find that bringing good quality shirts that the wrinkles fall out of is even better.  

 

Then again, we usually spend a few days in the embark port before the cruise and use ship's laundry.  There is something to be said for getting clothes back ironed.

A quick spray with water and a good shake is great.

I guess it depends on the fabric.  If you have cotton the wrinkle spray has done zero on my clothes. If it’s polyester I find a day or so of hanging in the closet gets rid of the wrinkles.

You can send the garment to the laundry for pressing only.

Just a warning on wrinkle spray- I’ve had sealed bottles of it leak - once even with ground travel that didn’t involve altitude changes.

That's what we're doing this time....still going to try & pack carefully but we know there are some things that will need ironed.

DH has been embracng my wrinkles for years!
