Or sail Virgin Voyages. We've sailed 8 cruise lines now. VV has the best food of the mainstream cruise lines, hands down. And every restaurant, every meal is included. Even the ice cream. 🙂 If you have not tried them yet, you should. Very similar vibe to Celebrity Cruises.

Do VV change their menus for each restaurant at all? We've only done 2 three-nighters with them and my other half won't do Test Kitchen type food and can only eat certain dishes (won't touch fish, pork, lamb etc) from the restaurant menus. This means we have been put off booking longer cruises with VV as he will have to repeat. Also their Gallery (i.e. buffet) has very few options in the evening.

Everyday Favorites are missing.  No fettuccine Alfredo, no Caesars Salad, no French Onion Soup.  These are my very frequent choices when nothing on that day’s menu appeals to me.

If cheese soufflé, beef Wellington and Rack of lamb do not appeal to you then I don’t know what to say those are all very appealing to me as are several apps. Plus crème brûlée is always welcome

when we sailed in Sept/Oct all three of those (which I would also order regularly when nothing else was appealing) were changed & not for the better, it was so sad

Rack of lamb and beef Wellington are great IF quality meat is used and the meat is properly cooked.  Unfortunately, Princess has a tendency to use lower quality meat and over-cook the meat.  While more interesting itineraries is the main reason we have shifted most of our cruising away from Princess, disappointing food offerings is the 2nd reason for spending vacation money elsewhere.

We are doing the same.  We have seen so many Princess cuts that it is like dying from a thousand paper cuts now and just not worth it.  But there are those who will be happy still when all Princess serves in the MDR's is Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches and water.

In the mean time, Princess has been sending out heavily discounted offers to a lot of people. You can do a 7-day coastal for $50 per person or a 15-day to Hawaii for $100 per person. It is less than $7 per day, which is even cheaper than the lunch combo that I just picked up from McDonald's. What do you expect?

I guess you are going to have to change you name now. I will stick with my CC dining where I have had some of the most amazing meals over the last year

No separate dessert menu either?

For a few years  now, even before you know  what , some cruiselines would ask for your dessert choice when  ordering your starter and main . It saves time especially if you are dining in a freedom/My time/ dine my way restaurant.  If you don't know what you want at the start of your meal you can still order from the menu later . It isn't a big deal .

I'm not telling my husband there is no shrimp cocktail or sorbet. He'd order sorbet every night - didn't even bother looking to see what it was. I'll miss the Onion soup. Fettuccine and the ceaser salads were already gone. Now ceaser said with kale (yuck).

The fettuccine has reportedly been replaced by the lasagna. I did try the lasagna on my last cruise and it was good. But the fettuccine topped with grilled chicken and the ceasar salad was my go-to meal when nothing else looked good, and I will miss it.
