If not, it will stay. To me it's simple as that. What I am more concerned about is Royal going to one daily room service. Not a huge deal, but it's nice to have both. I can see Celebrity considering that one as it does indeed save them money. Surely there are many things that X could remove as benefits in order to save money. However, it's not as simple as that. Just because it would save some money doesn't mean they are going to do it. They can only cut back so much before they no longer have any customers.

Far more guests on Celebrity have drink packages (premium or classic) than guests on Royal C. So the two lines might have different policies even though owned by the same corporation.

I have to agree with you on some items. For us we never bring wine aboard so wouldn't have an effect on us. RCL also announced yesterday that with the exception of Suites they will be cutting room cleaning to once a day. Hmmmm... wonder how that will be received. As usual with CC, some are vocal against, some are vocal for, and some could care less one way or the other. 4 hours ago, Jim_Iain said: I have to agree with you on some items. Only once in the last five years have we booked other than a suite, and that was when our son and daughter and their families were on the same cruise with us. If we were not in a suite or did not have a beverage package I am sure we would give it more consideration.
Gracie115 Posted March 4, 2023 #31 Share Posted March 4, 2023 Likely RC made the change because the majority of their passengers don't have a beverage package... or at least they are not "included" automatically as it seems Celebrity's are. Limiting the amount of alcohol you can bring on board means more wine being purchased by the passenger. Celebrity allowing 2 per person when you already have a beverage package included means less wine being drunk on X's dime.
MiamiFan0622 Posted March 5, 2023 #32 Share Posted March 5, 2023 I just completed my booking for Silhouette in April. I was advised that 2 bottles of wine pp is allowed.
