Phenomenal photos and narrative - thank you so much!!!  Have you heard of anyone using a travel router to stabilize ship wifi?  I tried recently on Voyager but with my lack of expertise I was stuck when I was unable to log the router into the ship's captive portal.

In my experience over the past several years they are taking steps to block such devices.  This started brfore the ppandemic. 

 

Like you I used to use one not to share the internet but to create usable wifi in the cabin.  I don't bother any more because it becomes an extended effort trying to keep them working over the length of the cruise. 

 

Now I stick a shoe in the door during the day and I live with no internet over night.

I don't think the "A Taste of Asia" menu is available on the (usual) 7-nighters??  Just the long cruises.

I was on a completely different excursion that got added to our guide said would only add 15 minutes.  We werent offered the one he took, it wasnt a choice.

Is this with Premium or Classic WiFi?

 

I am on Celebrity doing a Panama Canal transit with a very similar itinerary and my WiFi speeds have been better. Testing at least once or twice a day as you can see. 

 

I know they are throttling guest WiFi Speeds per guest depending on the plan you have.  I also know you theoretically get better speeds the closer you are to the ship’s WiFi access point.

I think rcl since starlink only has one plan. Twangster will know for sure.

I searched all over Colon and Cartagena for one.   What amazing luck!   Probably the only tail I'm going get any time soon.
