Had some drama with dinner. I booked it for 9pm. Then I tried to book another night for 6pm. Well even though I clicked on the correct day in my planner, it gives you the list for the entire week. I clicked 6pm but it booked 6pm tonight. So I had a 6 and a 9 tonight. I canceled the 6 and rebooked for the correct night. They were paid for with a gift card and the refunded one did go back on the card. 
 

Tonight I can’t remember if I booked 9 or 9:30. I got up to the restaurant to ask because it’s not showing in my planner. They say I canceled the 9 and kept the 6…I didn’t. But at this point it’s after 6. They ask if I want to move to 9 I say yes. I mention the fact I prepaid. She says well the 6 was refunded so you will be charged for tonight. I paid with a gift card and I don’t remember which one. I don’t have the number to verify it went back on the card or anything. I checked my account, no refund.
 

I go to guest services. They end up calling the same person I talked to…turned out she’s the manager…and handing me the phone. We go back and forth for a bit and finally she tells me just come eat and she’ll work it out. 
 

I have the emails for the three that I bought but she said don’t worry about it.

The ship does appear to be outstanding from all the pics Saint Greg has been posting. MSC also has outstanding ships. And the Venezia is coming to Port Canaveral late 2024, into 2025. Thank you Saint Greg for all the fun and details, letting us cruise along with you!

The ship is registered in the Bahamas. Normally, in port you'd fly the flag of the port of registry and the port in which the ship is docked.

Okay. Viaggio. I don’t know if I got lucky or what. But it was all good. Well except the drink. They recommended a spritz. I have never had one but didn’t think I would like it. I said what the heck. I have cheers. Try it.  Didn’t really Iike It.

 

For the food I was feeling pretty good going in because these two guys next to me had ordered all different things and both tried all of them. I asked them if anything was really great and they named off everything I ordered…except the dessert. Neither of them had my dessert. They did help me with a good bread. There are like 4-5 bread options.

 

Okay here we go.

 

 

this is a bread with I believe Parmesan and pesto in it.

This is a different bread. I forget what it’s flaky kind of like a croissant. It’s good but I like the first one better.

 

 

 

 

This is a lemonchello? Or whatever they bring you on the house at the end.

 

I was stuffed so I asked for my cannolis to go.

 

 

These other things with them they give everyone on the house after dessert.

I haven’t tried any of this yet but it looks good.

Something everyone needs to be aware of. The guys next to me asked if gratuity was included in the amount he prepaid. He said it was not.  Now i know I paid gratuity. And I’m assuming if I did everyone else did as well. Sure enough he brought me mine saying the $42 was paid but no gratuity. I don’t mind giving additional. I always do. But they’re now giving you an iPhone with the preset % options in the tip. I would add 10% which sounds cheap when he’s saying you haven’t paid any gratuity but it’s not when you actually already paid 18%.

A door or two down from me there’s a lip, bump, unevenness in the floor. Every time I hit that and stumble a bit. Hopefully at some point I’ll get used to it…like Bill Murray did with the puddle in ground hog day.
