FREE CRUISE

I just booked the Neiuw Statendam 7 day cruise to the eastern Caribbean on December 10, 2023.  Here is the good news I only paid port charges of $185.00 per person.   I also had to pay a $100.00 booking fee per person but I also receive a $100,00 shipboard credit per person.  I only catch was the cruise had to be paid in full at the time of booking.  I think this for mariners members only.  I got a email giving me all the information.

It is probably a casino cruise.  I just took one in March, to the Caribbean, same details.  I did not think that it was just for Mariners, although we are 5*.  Were you told that by HAL?  When I asked about our March '23 cruise, the rep told me that HAL really doesn't know how Casino picks the chosen.  I have since received one more and another "free inside" from HAL directly, which is slightly different and carries a different code.  Enjoy!  It is a good deal.

My sister just got this offer too. I didn’t. Our last HAL cruise was together. I think she’s 2* and I’m 3* so not sure the logic. Seems random. Neither of us use the casinos and the offer doesn’t mention casinos at all unlike the pdf that was included in the other thread about casino cruises.
It was for coastal repos, Mexico and Caribbean along with partial Panama Canal.

Booked a South America/Antarctica 22 night cruise a couple of months back after I received one of these offers.  All I paid was $510 port taxes and fees and the same $100 booking fee.  Also received $200 OBC.  I do not gamble and I am only a 3 star mariner.  Couldn't believe my luck, this is a multi-thousand dollar cruise!  Good thing I'm retired, lol....

I got it too.  3 star, minimal casino use. The fine print allowed me to pick up to two cruises. The category booked is N, the lowest category interior. Does anyone know if there are ever opportunities to upgrade as the trip gets closer? We are looking at Mexico in December and Panama Canal in February.  Oh, and fyi, the Panama Canal tax/fees are high, over twice the amount of Mexico.

My husband and I also got this offer. I have only been on 1 HAL cruise and spent/lost $50 in the casino.  We did spend money in the spa, wine packages and tastings so thought that was why we received it.  We booked a Christmas cruise to Caribbean for $580 with $200 returned for obc.  Jackpot!

we were told to go to the casino when we get on board and show them our card so I wonder if that means we get free drinks while playing?

if it’s anything like Las Vegas I would loose $50 while waiting for a free drink I could have bought for $10.

anyway life is good!

Good for you! Even though I didn’t get the offer, it’s always nice to hear of someone else’s good fortune.

I've never seen an offer like this.  If it is not for casino rated cruisers, then I am surprised and disappointed not to get one as well.  This week, I did get a private sale offer by mail.  One sailing caught my eye:  Zaandam 14 day Caribbean next February.  Fare shown is $599 for lanai/verandah.  A great deal to me, but Zaandam doesn't have lanai or regular verandah rooms!  I called and was told unavailable.

I don't know about the lanais, but  the former S class and what's left of the R class (Zaandam and Volendam have the original  verandah, which they call verandah suites.  Since these cabins predate the verandah and verandah  suites now found on the newer ships, I would consider Zaandam's verandahs to be the "regular" ones.  Don't the Vista class ships only have one verandah class, as well?  Were you asking for "regular verandah rooms" or just "verandah?" Perhaps there may have been confusion on the part of your PCC or TA?"

I got and offer last year for some cruise but instead of being free it was $200 for an inside or outside cabin.  Took them up on the offer and booked the Rotterdam Halloween cruise.  Since I had credits given to me from HAL because of cancellations because of covid I actually got the cruise for free, they didn't even charge me any taxes of fees, free!  About 10 days or so before the cruise receive an email for an upgrade for a balcony, $198 obstructed view or $398 unobstructed.  Called right away and moved up to balcony obstructed view better location then unobstructed.  Once on the cruise Hurricane Nicole comes around, couldn't dock in Fort Lauderdale the day of return so a 10 night cruise turned into an 11 night cruise.  Thankful I live in Florida and can drive to the cruise port.  Turned out to be a really nice cruise and the Rotterdam is a beautiful ship!

Using same offer for Alaska this season in July.  Never have dropped even a dime in the casino.  Mine seemed to come from my assigned PCC whom we use only occasionally and did use for booking this offer; she was the one who said it was a casino offer that HAL will give give out to PCCs if they go unused for awhile.  No matter, it's not a bad offer at all.

That’s why it was so cheap 😛😂😉.

It costs a lot to of money to go through the Panama Canal.  That is why the port charges are so high.

Received the same offer.  Just booked a 7 Day Sea of Cortez out of San Diego in January.  We "splurged" lol, and upgraded to an Ocean View for an extra 200 and bought the everything package which actually cost more than the cruise.  So week long cruise for 2, drinks, 200 shore excursion credit (spent already) "refund" 200 dollar OBC, dinner at Canaletto's (wife prefers over steak 😞 ), = net cost of approx 1200 for 2 people.   Sweet.  More of this please.

My sisters have both received free cruises. It started with their first cruise last year to Alaska when DH and I were left behind in Vancouver because one of us tested positive for COVID. They messaged me-thought it was a scam-and I told them to jump on it. They are doing the New England/Canada in the summer. (DH and I are joining, but we are paying 🤑). They (now 1 star) have both received many emails for more free cruises. Meanwhile, we are and have never received anything. 🙃

I get these emails, but do not travel in an inside cabin, so the cost to upgrade to a balcony and add “Have It All” is almost the same as a discount price I usually get. Just booked through Casino rate on a 7nt Mexican riviera cruise. When I called my personal consultant, he was able to discount that price. Got a great deal
