I suppose so ,she my be able to hit guest services up for port fees once onboard.
But just for information,RC are paying some compensation.

When I called Royal to cancel, they didn’t try to talk me out of it by offering OBC.  Just said no probs and told me monies should be returned in 14 days.

Refund, no. Likely because it was included in the fare when they announced it, and it will cause confusion in adjusting everyone's outstanding balance.

 

It will most likely be credited to your account as refundable OBC.

We have just been notified we are not stopping at Eden Febuary 2024 now have an overnight in Sydney arriving a day early sailing on Edge

I’m not on this cruise but I have a lot of friends that are and there seems a lot of conflicting stories about compensation for Eden being dropped.

Some people are saying they got something and some are saying Royal are definitely not giving compensation.

Has anyone got some compensation ,because I don’t know who to believe .

As previously mentioned, they didn’t offer any compensation before I cancelled but the refund came through very quickly.

Edge is around 5% smaller, but they are very comparable. For the ships anyway.

 

As for Carnival Australia vs RCI, it seems that Royal is less tolerant and will only call in Eden if they are able to dock.

There’s also the staff shortage and the extra strain on the crew associated with tendering .

Royal has been trying to reduce tendering world wide lately.

Great if the pax get compensation but I would be willing to pay the cruise line just to avoid Eden
