Meraviglia YIN

Looking to book a Yacht Club interior stateroom on Meraviglia. They are currently available on decks 14, 15 and 16.  It’s hard to see what is above each of them because it shows as a blank space on the deck plans. For those that have sailed in these cabins, is one deck preferable over another noise wise?

We were on 16.  No noise, and IMHO, the best location.  The concierge desk is "right there", the Top Sail Lounge is "right there"....the dining room is one flight up and the pool deck two flights up.  If you're too lazy for the stairs, the YC elevator is "right there" too.

Thank you. I was looking at 16 for just those reasons, but didn’t know what was above. I’ve never done an inside, but it’s a good value. Did you find it too small?

The only thing is storage....it was adequate for us, but we travel lite.  DH and I loved that sailing.  We're already booked for next year.  Almost all the insides for the May 4, 2024 are gone...so book asap!

YINs are amazing value...often half the price of a balcony. As for "too small", it all depends on what you use the room for. Do you like to sit around in the morning in bed (or balcony) eating breakfast? Do you pack a bunch of clothes and have trouble "living" out of a suitcase? Are you (excuse me) on the plus side? If any of those is "yes" then it might be too small.

There is very little closet space and the bathrooms are miniscule. But...if you can live with that, then you're golden. Our first time in the YC was an inside. We have another booked in Jan because of the price. If you go to your room to sleep, they are fine.

@snmathe is doing a live blog from Mera and she's in a YIN cabin. She says it's fine, but you can ask her direct Qs if you want...

YINs on 14 have the same cabins above, it can go either way.  We had noisy kids above.   Above those on 15 is the YC concierge area which I believe has hard floors so possibly some footsteps at times.   Above the YINs on 16 is the YC pool and associated equipment.   Those cabins have good reports regarding no noise from above and are in the best location regarding the YC public areas.

We are on 15 and I like the location. I have pictures and a review I’ll be doing on the cabin on Sunday. I do like the location. On deck 16 is concierge and top sail. On deck 18 you have the yacht club restaurant. On 19 you have the pool. You also have a private elevator just for yacht club and it only goes to yacht club floors. We never waited long for the elevators. They always came to us quick so I didn’t mind being on floor 15

I will be checking out your cabin review and pictures of the cabin.

Can't decide if we should book YIN to save money or Deluxe suite.

I like deck 16, could walk from the lounge to my cabin through the door hallway not needing to pass the concierge desk and any people lined up there. As posted above just one floor up to the dining room and another to the pool deck. Easy walk down one flight to the main pool deck if you wanted to join any general activities with the masses (White Party).

Escorted to anything else on the ship so the desk is right there if I couldn't find my butler and they got another butler to take us. No noise whatsoever.

We had one on 16 Virtuosa(same layout),  the bar was nearer to go get stuff than our kitchen is from our seating area at home.

Lived in the top sail, throw some clothes on go grab coffee snack etc first thing.

Sit at the bar or by a window, cabin was bathroom, shower & sleeping with the odd bit of TV.

if weather good up 2 flights and you have the outside area with facilities, you don't have those with a balcony

The next one was deck 14 nearest the elevator, not quite as handy but the extra couple of 90secs  travel  were no bother once on ship

You could also get in and out of YC without going by the concierge desk handy when you did not need that escort..
