Guarantee question ????

I have never booked a guarantee and have a question as to the OBSTRUCTEED VIEW PERCENTAGE  part of the invoice and what does it mean ???

2D cabins should not have any obstructions. On Q class ships, like your Anthem sailing, the obstructed balconies are mostly on deck 6 and are categorized as E balconies.

It guarantee-speak for could get an obstructed view but they can't say how obstructed until such time as your cabin is actually assigned.

 

Note that this is a general thing, more applicable to some classes of ship than others (e.g. Quantum class ships have a whole deck full of obstructed balcony cabins).

 

Since your guarantee appears to be for a specific type of cabin (2D), it may be the case that on your particular ship none of these cabins are obstructed.

Once your cabin is assigned you should be able to make a change to any other open cabin in the same category. Don't mention you have a GTY, just give them a cabin number would like to change to.  Some have reported recently that some reps will say you can not change. Say thank you, hang up and call again. We have had a few GTY bookings and have never had a problem changing cabins.

I used to book almost nothing but GTY's and that was my experience exactly.
