New Pricing Feature on Website

Just noticed on the Plan Your Cruise page:

Once you see results from your filters, you can view the "From price" of all stateroom categories, not just insides. Click on "View date(s) and fares", then cycle thru categories. Granted this is the non-refundable price, but at least you can do a quick comparison without additional steps. Some itineraries will show the prices for other dates as well as the one you click on.

Using Windows 10 with Edge or Chrome on a desktop - have no idea if it's the same on smartphones.

That is a nice feature.  Thanks for the heads up.

RE: casino offers - selecting your cabin

Nothing to it.  Just do a dummy booking and when you go through the process (after you select the Private Fare option) a screen will come up asking you to select one of two options - Let HAL assign your cabin OR select your own cabin.  Obviously chose Select Cabin and then the website will walk you though your options (like a normal non casino booking).  You will pick the section of the ship and then deck, after that it will show you which cabins are available and you select one.  After that a new page will show up that indicates the price and total fare.

I don't see it either - where do you "select Private Fare" option?  I don't see it listed in either of the  "Show results for" or the "sort by" pull downs. Would it be in there?

I have casino discounts on cruises when I follow through the booking , but I still have to just go through the booking to see what my discount is.

You have to go through a dummy booking process.

I do go through the dummy booking ..which will eventually display the fare at the discounted Casino rate, but that is always how it worked for me. I never see mention of "Private Fare" or get to select Private fare, the price just drops as I go through the booking so I see what my fare is then.

I cannot run it right now as the website has once again locked me out.  However, what I do is click on the fare on the new page, select my category and then it comes up with the box on the left sayine Private Fare and the one on the right showing the HIA price.  I click on the Private fare box and proceed from there.  When the site is up again I will try to run an example.

I just tried again to see where the discount happens and see if it mentioned "Private Fare"

I get the display of all the categories and their prices  .. but then when I pick a category (like inside), the price drops to my discounted fare, but no mention of "private fare" for my bookings.

Go further along the process

Then select the CHOOSE YOUR ROOM box and it takes me to the options for Verandah cabins - such as section of ship, deck and finally shows me the available cabins and fares (may vary a bit once you select your cabin).

I hope this helps.

Lets try this.  Log into Gamblers account.  Find cruise.  Select cabin category (Verandah in this example) and then I get this:

Aha!  We don't get the same thing....

Mine looks like this - it just says "Cruise Fare" - but that fare is a reduced fare from the original fare in the search by our Casino discount (usually 20-30%).

I think your "Private Fare" is a better Casino offer ...

Yes, your fare is commonly referred to on the message board as a Casino Discount.  Mine is a Casino OFFER (either a free or deeply discounted fare).

Your fare you have always been able to pick your cabin. but on my OFFER in the past you had to accept a guarantee or pay a huge amount to select a cabin.  This new option is MUCH better!

We have been lucky enough to get a couple of "free" staterooms offers in the past but really aren't expecting anymore - but I see what you mean, it is a nice feature.

I found as you get close to the elevators, the fares go up. I just booked the Eurodam, aft balcony, and from 7098 forward the fare  went up $50.00pp. I booked 7102, and the fare came down to what the lowest fare for aft was. This doesn't count aft facing balcony=ies.
