I'd order it either way b/c there are so many variables and I love carbonara but good to hear.

Gio’s had the best Filet this week, plus we love the extra crispy pizza. Found out we had to order it that way to get the Char. Anyway, cancelled Hooked for lunch tomorrow

and will head to Izumi Sushi.

On another note, still need to find Dee. 😁

ps….also got my first hand pay. Thanks RCCL! All three of us played enough to get each one of us a balcony and free play on the AOS next April. Yay!

You're not only ordering everything I would but that's how my wife and I eat pizza, lol.

I'm about to get takeout later... which we then throw in the oven to make it crispy b/c even asking for it well done at a cheap pizza place doesn't get it done.

What kind of pizza did you get? I'm still trying to figure out how I fit pizza into a dinner that already includes filet and carbonara, lol. I eat a lot on cruises but...

And congrats on the casino win!

I’m just getting the Margarita pizza. Not as filling and leaves room for the mains. Anyway, I have a feeling we’re long lost brothers. 😂

Sounds like it, lol. Last question... when did you have the pizza come out? First like an app? With the mains like a side? That was my dilemma. 🤣

In between apps & main. Still had a couple slices when the filet came. Still finished it all. 😂

The Country Band is playing under the big hat on the Promenade. Ms Dee can dance!! 😁

I met @TYMAN!

I was supposed to be working on my video—we’ll I was—and then I went to Bolero’s to get a Blueberry Nojito to help me work—and there was the country trip playin at the hat, so I stayed to listen to the set, and he recognized my hair!  It was nice to put the face to the name.

Mullet Bay

One of our faves as well, when we first went there (2008) we were 2 of about 10 people, then years following vendors started coming in and the Celine actually anchored there, beautiful beach and you can just see the planes coming in too.

How do you do that?!?!?!

You have to play a lot. We each got 6500 points which equates to balcony or JS plus $750 free play. Probably 125 cruises to choose from between Nov ‘23 through September’24.

Free drinks have been really nice. 😂 Those and the D+ ones keep us smiling all week.

Yes definitely the best part of being Prime or above!  We have not had the drink package in years because of D+ & the casino 🙂

We actually enjoyed Carbonara at Giovanni’s. We kind of like a bit of salt. 😁 Actually had our first terrible dinner last night at Hooked. They’re training a new Chef I heard. Ordered Surg & Turf. Lobster, excellent. Ordered Filet medium rare, came our well done. Honestly, I wouldn’t have complained since we got a great UDP deal, but the waiter insisted on bringing another to my DW & I. N ct set of steaks? Yep, well well done. Last set can put raw. Ugh. Other than that, all

has been great

Oh no! ordering medium rare and getting well done is always such a disappointing experience. Especially twice. And then raw!  Definitely a new Chef.

I had a very good meal at Hooked, but it was all seafood.  Perhaps the coating was a llittle heavy on the Soft Shell Crab, but that is a little quibble.

@TYMAN I love the extra crispy pizza too! First time I had it it was OK; last night I had 2 slices of cheese and someone must have ordered an extra crispy because it was SO much better! Didn’t know you needed to order it that way; good information to have!

Was nice to finally meet you today!

And CONGRATS on the hand pay!!  I tried to see if I could get some casino money to play with, but the machines I tried were super tight, so I saved most of my gambling budget for my Ultra gambling cruise on Celebration next month.  I’m quite sure I didn’t even gamble enough for casino offers of any type from Royal, sadly.

Well I sort of disappeared after my time at the Solarium.

Went to Johnny Rocket’s for lunch. Very nostalgic; hadn’t been at one for years. Met another solo diner in line and we lunched together; turns out she worked for Royal in finance for 5 years, and has cruised a TON, so she was an interesting lunch companion!  Had the chilli cheese fries and the #12 burger, plus a diet coke.

Then worked on my video (its finished and I’m going to upload it in the morning!).

While I was at the Giant Country Hat where I met Tyman, I met a lovely engaged couple. We bonded over some terrible line dancing.

When I went to dinner at the MDR on 4 (which is HUGE) that very same couple was sitting right next to me! So I ended up having some pleasant dining companions, That, plus my Internet being in and out when I’m not in my room today, delayed my sharing of the meal.

I had the melon and avocado salad, the French Onion Soup, and 2 lobster tails (yep, paid for the second; I tried to get a lunch reservation at Hooked after my dinner there but none was to be had. I still think $16.95 is an outrageous price for the extra lobster, and I didn’t have the steak. Lobster, however is MUCH larger than the ones Carnival has been serving of late. I mean, like 3x larger. My lobster on Carnival was so thin.

All food served was hot (except the mashed potatoes). Good lobster, but not as good as at Hooked. It was properly cooked.  I thought the French Onion Soup was good, the “salad” was a little weird. It was JUST melon and avocado, and both were not ripe enough.  The breads on the table were cold and hard and disappointing (just as well so I didn’t waste calories on them).

There’s actually a photo of me at dinner thanks to my new friends!

The Baked Alaska for dessert was DIVINE and always a treat to have.

Everone has been ask

After dinner we went to the Mason Jar to hear the Country Trio. They are just so good. Very cramped in there as far as dancing goes though, but do love that bar in the evening!

Then I saw Effectors. I really liked it. Of course, I had my ear plugs in this time, and GOSH this was another loud show, so I was glad for that.  I think they executed the entire SuperHeroes//Comics theme beautifully.  Big Cast!  Great costumes and makeup! Some original music, and I liked their selections of Pop-Music. Sure, a weak plot, but at least it was a PLOT. LOVED the drones and other special effects.  This show, like the Aqua show, live music doesn’t make sense so I get using tracks.

After that the Disco Party was starting on the Promenade. I went. I really wanted to dance. It is SO crowded; its a thoroughfare, and then they stick that stage right in the middle creating a bottleneck (the CD and other dancers are in the balcony). NO room to dance, blaring music.  The parties have let me down on this ship.

I left and finally got that 1 Chocolate Martini at Schooners (it was good) and then back to the room.

Last day tomorrow already! 😭😭😭

How does it go so fast?

I hope this is temporary and Royal can re-consider whoever has “turned up the volume” on the shows, so to speak.

The show WAS really great; lighting, costumes, those incredible divers!  But I wish there was a way to make this giant area at the back of the ship more useful the rest of the day. Takes up so much real estate on the ship!

Don't forget to mention it in the post cruise survey

Actually the beach is before you get to Marigot, Mullet Bay.  Beautiful and cabanas to rent.  Sandy's Creole Cuisine is our go place to eat in Marigot.

PLENTY of taxis that will gladly take you to both places.

Does Mullet Bay have bathrooms now? When we visited some years back they only had the portables near their parking lot.😉

Remember, your wish is their command, you have not because you ask not...just mention kindly they were cold and you'll have hotter potatoes, I guarantee it!  We once complained a little that cruises never serve rolls hot so the butter melts, ours were hot every night after.  So now we request heated rolls right up front on the first night.  They really care about pleasing the customer.  But most people don't ever comment on something that's not right.  Never hesitate.

So there are two spots to get drinks/food there.  As long as you eat/drink at least a little bit you can use their restrooms.
