Rare Vineyard View Posted November 16, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2023 (edited) Interesting. I wonder when the start date was with this. I don’t believe existing contracts can be impacted, but good to know. Thank you Edited November 16, 2023 by Vineyard View
Rare ORV Posted November 17, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 17, 2023 The time for the final payment has varied according to the length of the cruise for quite some time. I have 2 cruises that have a final payment 150 days out and 1 that is 90 days out. One is 11 days, one is 18 and one is 24. I do know that there were some changes recently, but not sure if it's still cruise length dependent. 3

davencl Posted November 17, 2023 #24 Share Posted November 17, 2023 (edited) FWIW the final payment for my Viking river cruise in Aug. is due in Dec. 240 days out... However I can cancel for $200 fee up to 120 days out. Wasn't at all surprised when O changed as I read my invoices(for my O cruises next year). 🙂 Edited November 17, 2023 by davencl
Rare pinotlover Posted November 18, 2023 #25 Share Posted November 18, 2023 Does this new policy also affect all the “placeholder” cruises people book while aboard ship to just cancel later after the find another new cruise? We bought Future Cruise Certificates in the past, never placeholders.
