Internet cut me off (being a "sort of" TAD) today.  Right at 9:30 (7:30 am EST).  One of the inconveniences of that day, but usually I enjoy those days anyway, especially not having to change cabins.  😉

Then later at 10:15....ship system shut down right as I stepped up to the podium in the Safari lounge on deck six doing our Consecutive cruisers "ding out...ding in" procedure.  Took 10 minutes to reboot, and then back up again.  So we are "officially" back on the ship.  😉

Standing with Ellen just outside Chops after breakfast, we watched the hundreds of full WC pax file by to load the buses for their tour of Iquazu Falls.  She told me the tour actually gets back at 7 pm..today!  Wow, long day!  First shuttle to terminal, then bus ride, then flight, then another bus ride...see the falls, repeat the process on the way back.  Yikes!  Now I see why friends booked separate tours to do an overnight there.  We did not opt to go, but instead have that interesting cooking class to attend tonight at a restaurant somewhere in town.  Should be fun!

Our view of the freight yard...again...but nice skyline beyond here at Buenos Aires Argentina.

I remember that view as we spent two days there on our HAL cruise.  A mile thru containers to get to the streets.

Those WC cruisers aren't back on the ship yet.  Still on their way according to some other social media posts.  Long day of travel for them.

Iquazu is a couple of plane flights from either Rio or Buenos Aires.  I am pretty certain.  We flew from Rio to São Paulo to get to the falls 18 years ago. I imagine much the same from BA.  Not a major hub, very small towns out in the hinterland.  You have to try to go there.

Will see some of them tonight in the CL.  Looking forward to hearing their story.  🙂

And the northern lights are best seen in the winter time....in the north of course. 😄   Big tourist attraction in Alaska in January.  If you can stand the cold out there waiting for them to show up.

With minimal light pollution and near-perfect visibility in some places, Greenland provides exceptional odds for viewing the milky-green lights. A three- or four-night stay during the aurora season (September to early April) offers the best chance of spotting them.15 dic 2023

We visited Tromsko, Norway in 2019 in early February.  Lovely show.  Cold as hades.  Yikes, not sure I have ever been colder.

They usually photograph much better than viewing by the naked eye.   Colors in photos are much more intense and much more visible.

Yep, naked eye they are white, when you take a picture they are a rainbow of color.  Our eyes can’t account for them as each moment is a snapshot, the camera is slower view, hence more color.

From the photos of I saw I would say Iguaza falls is more impressive than Niagara Falls.    They are all beautiful

Way more beautiful and impressive, haven’t been to Victoria, but I can’t imagine they are better.  The falls in South America go on and on.  It is not just one set of falls they are across a wide area, and are stacked on top of each other.  They cover a very large area.

Anyone guess what these are ?

Coati, I have seen them in the hundreds in Costa Rica at the Westin and in singles quite large in Costa Rica at the Volcano area.  We saw a few on the decks in Argentina side of the falls.  I think they are like raccoons in NA

How many planes did they fill for the Falls excursion if all the 700 full  World Cruiser's where this excursion was included for free?

Falls was not included. But I heard there were 2 charters for what they sold.

Machu Pichu in a couple weeks will be first included plane trip

IMO, you or others wouldn't be able to go if your doctor limits the auto refills. No way can a ships doctor refill prescriptions. As it should be.

My Dr gave us scripts to be filled onboard.

Price was reasonable for two of the three I needed.

Had to hoard our 'controlled' meds over the past two years

I wonder what people will do on the full cruise to renew those required pills like Blood Pressure, cholesterol, thyroid and a  bucket load more.  My MD only gives me two refills and I'm held hostage to return or no pills.. Maybe the ship has supplies of pills and the ship's MD will renew?

90 day supplies are key

I once asked my doctor about scripts for the longer adventures.  She told me when I needed it, she would be sure to give me a longer script.  Which only makes sense not to deny what you need.  Right now I (and Bucky) refill on a 90 day basis.  With our stint on Serenade only being a quarter (63 nights) was more than enough for us, but she would have given me a script for the 274 nights if I needed it.

No, the ship will not refill scripts.

Umm, yes they will. We filled out request forms thru special needs

It would be the same for us. It's the insurance that will only fill for 90 days at a time. Had to jump through hoops to get a prescription filled a few days prior to the 90 days when we were going on a trip.

GoodRX is a game changer

what is the egg drop.  How is it done? I assume it is not soup. ha ha

Create a device to hold a raw egg. Drop from deck 10 onto Centrum floor. Pray it survives

yes I too have wondered I mean 9 months is a long time.

I would have thought a medical facility would carry the more popular ones and with a doctor note dispense.  Then again how will they bill it back to insurance.

See these long cruises have so many issues. oh well God bless those that do go on them and we all follow along.  I would miss my kitchen and my cable tv channels after about 3 weeks.

Charge to seapass, on your own for reimbursement. Ours are around $15 for 90 days, so not worth the hassle

They can provide a lot of prescription meds for emergency purposes, but they aren't in the business of filling full prescriptions.

They are now.

So much misinformation here, it's as bad as Tik Tok

Some people have health issues and some people have character flaws.  🙄

Well, the last few pages do read like an AARP forum.

But it's nice to see some new outrage material other than the same old chair hogs, tipping, dress code, cutbacks etc.

😉    <------note: winky face means joking.

Wow, how old are all you people? Feel like I'm missing something😉 ,  I'm almost 64 and I don't take any meds or wear any  hearing aids.

You're super blessed in this regard! I sincerely doubt that you intended any offense, and you're getting swatted pretty hard for your off-the-cuff comment. 💜  Ref good health, we're all potentially one doctor visit, one fall, one stroke, etc, away from our lives changing. My DH and I have had to cancel three cruises in the past year.

As far as you know.  As I said, then what when they get back?

Maybe they own more than one house or car so after the cruise they just stay in one of their remaining houses and drive one of their remaining cars (or motorbikes 😀).
