Casino coupon

I received my digital coupon book for our upcoming cruise.  The $10 free play is the only coupon that interest me. Can someone clarify whether it is one per guest or one per stateroom.  Here is what it says:

Present Casino FREE PLAY offer to the Casino Host to redeem. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other casino promotion, discount or coupon. All FREE PLAY credit is required to be played through one time before guest may cash out. FREE PLAY may be used on a single voyage only, is not transferable and expires at the end of that voyage. Limit one per guest per stateroom. Subject to availability and change without notice. Must be 18 years of age or older to participate in onboard gaming.

Says one per guest per stateroom. So, if there are 2 of you in the cabin, only 1 can use it.

If you don’t have the booklet, you will need to show the TA

email that awarded you the coupon booklet.

Why are you questioning this when it clearly states one coupon per person?

When coupon booklets are issued by a TA with a booking, they go to each person (at least first two guests).  Each person has the coupon to use.  Wording is quite clear to me.

It should say one per guest.  Maybe I have ship lag and jet lag!

Thanks for correcting me. 🥴

Sorry, I was corrected. 1 per guest.  Funny thing is, I just used it On the Sapphire. They weren’t too sure about it.  But, I thought it was only for 1.  Lost my money really fast. Tight machines!😳

PCL is infamous for their obtuse wording of policies when it could be stated in simpler, clearer terms.

Perhaps someone thought it necessary to restrict a theoretical guest who might be occupying more than one stateroom???

Of course we all *know* that there are certain cabins that receive MUCH more favorable odds....but we need to really keep that on the QT!

click on the print at home option. on the pdf it states" Please present coupons at time of purchase. All offers are limited to one use per stateroom per voyage. coupons have no cash or onboard credit value. Cannot be used with any other discount for the same product or service. Coupons expire December 31, 2023." so the pdf clearly states one per stateroom.

or if you click view now on page 2 it says the same thing.

I wonder how sticky they are about expiry date as I have a book for my 10 day cruise leaving Dec 28th.

So, that’s where I got, the one per stateroom.  Thanks, I knew I read that somewhere. Mine expire 2023 also.

You are leaving in 2023, so they should honor it.  Just check with the casino host to be sure.

Whenever we had the coupon books, they were there for both of us to use.  Somehow, I find it hard to think they changed that when going paperless, but PCL rarely misses a chance to take something away quietly and hope no one notices.

Bingo!  That’s the verbage on our 2023 coupon book.

Maybe op has a 2024 book?

I’m sure they snuck this change in there!

My TA has always reminded me that the coupon offers were only good per stateroom.

You may order a bottle of wine for suite speciality dining on embarkation night.  I was the only one to use the casino free play coupon.  And, of course, the free 8x10 specialty portrait was not available for a 12 day cruise….studio was not manned.

Yes, it is ONE per stateroom, so if 2 person sharing stateroom, only one person is supposed to be able to use. On Discovery last month, casino cashier said they needed the ‘printed’ coupon and to go to guest services to get it printed if you only had digital copy. This week on Sapphire, they accepted coupon on my IPad, so it seems YMMV.

Same with Platinum Studio coupon, you cannot have both do separate sittings, either do one solo or both passengers in the same picture. When I travel with a cruise buddy, if both want to do platinum studio, we flip a coin.

Cause clearly from the replies its 1 per stateroom not 1 per person.  I was hoping someone knew for sure as you could read it as 1 per person OR 1 per stateroom.  Even you got it wrong from the way it reads.

It states one per stateroom but we’ve each received and used the $10 coupon in the casino and they were fine with it.  They won’t even apply it to your account until you’ve each played $20.  Who knows, it could win you the jackpot?  Always be an optimist!

I don't see how it would work as one per person when each gets a set.

I interpreted that as one time per person because a guest could print out multiple sets of coupons and try to use each day.

News to me that each guest receives a set and they have to play RPS to decide who gets which coupons ... in theory.

Did you do this in 2023? Or, was it perhaps last year? Just curious.

Is it against the rules to ask where we might find coupons? We booked with a Princess Agent.

This thread has a link to the coupons.  They are the same ones that were just sent to me from Princess. Check out post #61 where there is a link to PRINT.
