haven't checked the "let us know" portion.

I have always used the “let us know” for any type of issue.  The “In Room Amenities” was not on the Navigator when I sailed the Rotterdam in October.

Has your shower been fixed?  And the other noise problem been resolved?

Shower fixed w/no follow up required.

Have only heard the other noise problem 1x since discussing it here; although, others report of hearing it.

Happily, nothing else needing to address. Oh and the "portable" soap dispener has not required a refill, so all is good on deck 4.😉

Makes me want to check my Oncor App to find out how big the power outage is, lol.

Captain making announcement saying partial outage. Ok to steer ship since we're in deep water (his words).

Lots of laughter and 🚪 opening/closing.

703pm Captain update: we have propulsion and steering and 2 generators are on line; he'll keep us posted.

I was heading to dinner (late seating) and am hungry 🤔 this late in the game, I still go, right?

In keeping with my Cruise of 1sts, this is my first Blackout at Sea...

Oh boy, I hate when the power goes out.

My first time 🙃

I'm thinking so long as toilet decides to cooperate (currently it is not), water stays hot and I get fed semi-regularly I should be ok, but I there may be a learning curve

Thanks for sending out your first hand reports of what is happening. It sounds like for the moment they are getting on top of this. In October of 2019 the Koningsdam had a similar incident but also lost propulsion then. Here is the report on that one from the Cruise Mapper site.

You sound like me-long as my toilet flushes, lol.  Oh and flashlight for sure.

I found it was a really weird feeling but I think (been many years) we lost all power.  It felt like we were just floating and so quiet it was eerie.

We were onboard attending a Mariner’s  luncheon when the captain got up and left in a hurry.   I thought we were in a good spot, near land but was later told it’s much better to be at sea as one doesn’t want to run aground!  Fortunately, It was sorted out quite quickly.

I am hoping you are safe and get power restored quickly.

Lost power once on a Pacific crossing, it was before azipod & with the prop shafts not turning it got very quiet. A lot of passengers were out wondering the decks wondering what was going on. It was a beautiful calm moon lit night & nice out on deck until the engines started again.

Well they are scheduled to dock at Honolulu in around 11 hours at 7am hst. They have the Crown Princess to their Northwest heading to Kauai for 8am hst, and the Seaborn Sojourn further back bringing up the rear, so they are not alone out there.

There are 2 spots (per the TV) for the excursion I am waitlisted on (there were zero when I checked this afternoon).

Of course, GS cannot help and recommended I ask about swapping at my meeting location in the morning. Shore Exc Desk is open briefly in the morning, so I'll start there. They open at 7; Hawaiian Ambassadors Blessing is at 6:45am in Crow's Nest, so I'll go for that and scoot over to Shore Exc Desk. Fingers crossed 🤞 🙏

As I've just received this, I've not had an opportunity to see if it's complete or if it maybe includes pieces that are no longer on the ship. According to this, complete collection is valued at $4.1 mlion. The first 2 pages have some interesting facts re HAL art and the basis for procurement.

Enjoy!

I’ve followed along with you since your pre and post dry dock cruises on the Nieuw Statendam and now this journey.  (Actually, we sailed with you on the TA 🙂)  I applaud the way you just roll with whatever seems to be thrown your way and mark it all up to “firsts” and new experiences, stories to tell, and memories made!  Not only are your posts entertaining but they’re also informative and bring to light the “what ifs.”  Thank you!
