QUESTIONS ABOUT BOARDING AS SUITE GUESTS

Recommended Posts

My husband and I have stayed in various sky suites in the past, but I feel like we are in the dark about what to expect next month when we once again sail in a SS. (We've not sailed in 4 years since Covid changed the world).  When we used the app to get a time to check in, the earliest time slot offered was 12:30 - 1:00.  As suite guests will we be allowed to check in earlier than that?  If so, do we go to a special location? (We are not the kind to just assume that we should have special privileges, but would like to know what is allowed.)  What about our luggage.... do we give it to the workers in a certain location or just the first workers we see that are accepting luggage? We thank you in advance for any info you can share!

As suite guests you can arrive at any time. You drop your luggage at the same place as everyone else and head to the Retreat/Zenith entrance.  Only the high end Suites have a special luggage drop.

Which ship and which port?

Assuming Fort Lauderdale, they'll usually let suite guests onboard at 11:00. You can arrive earlier than that, but recognize there will be traffic for departing guests. On our last couple of cruises we arrived around 10:30, checked in, had a pastry and a cup of coffee, and were moving to the ship right at 11:00. There should be a separate entrance for Retreat/Zenith guests. At T-25 it's to the far left.

As others have said, it's pretty much the same bag drop.

You assumed correctly... we will be boarding the Silhouette at Ft Lauderdale.  Thank you all for your explanations.

On board Ascent now. Left from T25 at PE. Upper level suite so we went past the 'regular' luggage dropoff. On board at 10:57. In the suite at 11:10.

I think it is always helpful to identify which suite one is buying, and not just stating "upper suite." There are differences even with these.

In my four Celebrity cruises to date, two in an Edge Villa and two in an Iconic, the arrival and check in was really nice.

I was asked every time by shoreside when I planned to arrive. Separate luggage drop off was nice. No lines.

However, both times in the Iconic I was greeted by and walked on by the Retreat manager, who introduced the butler once in my room.

In the case of the Edge Villas, met by and walked on by the butler.

Now have three new cruises booked in Iconics. Love the service. Love those rooms.

Boarded for Edge Villa on Sunday at T25 in Port Everglades (Ascent). Met by the Retreat Manager and assigned an escort. Very pleasant. Escorted to the EV which was ready. Never even sat down in the Retreat Embarkation Lounge. Wine selections already in place. Chiller already full of the items I'd requested from the Shoreside Retreat Concierge. 2nd time in an EV after 2 times in a PH on the Constellation. T25 rocks for upper level suites!

Jealous.    So sweet in that suite.  It’s been -5 here for 2 days in

Regardless, terminal 25 for a suite guest is nice. We recently sailed in a Celebrity suite and did not get escorted.

We have a aqua suite for this Sunday on the ascent , we are traveling with 2 other couples that do not have suites  - can they board along with us?

Assuming you mean Aqua Sky Suite, no, there's a separate boarding process for suite class passengers.  They'll have their own check-in and boarding process.  If it's not busy you might could hang back until they're done checking in and then all board together.  I'd just arrange to meet somewhere on the ship, personally.

We just "won" a move up offer from Aqua to a Sunset Sky Suite on Edge in Sydney next month.  Can we check in any earlier than our 12:30 check in time?

Suite passengers can hoard at any time

While on Ncl , in Rome we were in the haven and boarded with 15 people that were part of our group - my wife and I were the only ones staying in the haven
