How often do they offer afternoon tea on an Alaskan cruise?  What time is it usually served at?  Is there an additional cost?

Every day in the buffet.

Sea days in MDR: 3-4 or 3:30-4:30, something like that

Free of charge.

Yes my wife loves tea and would like the fancier one.  If it is offered would it be just something you book on the ship?

I’ve had the high tea or royal tea on Royal class ships.  It will be posted in the app or the patter.

White gloves, champagne and fancier desserts and sandwiches.

I always go to the MDR so I didn't know the buffet had it too. What all do they offer in the buffet?

The high tea information:  This was on the Enchanted last march.

It was $20 pp with champagne and $10 without.  You would have to check once OB to see if and when it will be offered.  They usually have it on longer cruises, not sure about the 7 day, if that’s yours.

It is a white glove service, with fancier pastries and sandwiches. It usually is held in the center of the piazza (circle), if the ship has one.  Sometimes it could be held in a different venue.

We’ve had it on the Royal class ships in the piazza, (circular seating in the middle) on the Regal and Royal.

When you say they have tea on sea days, does that include the scenic cruising days? I booked a spa appointment during our one "at sea" day, so I'll need to change my appointment time to get tea time in the MDR that day if they don't also have tea time on Glacier Bay and College Fjord days.
