All Inclusive Pricing

I’ve just spent an hour pricing all categories on a cruise for cruise only and all included as I was e-mailing options to a friend. I’d have thought the difference would be the same in all categories but it’s not. I also thought (mistakenly) that a guarantee room on all included would have been the cheapest but again it’s not. Sometimes it’s cheaper on an AI deal to choose your own room. Has anyone else ever come across this and can anyone explain why the AI cost upgrade varies so much?

Seems that AI upgrade is not a fixed calculation and the folks in Aqua are being overcharged I’ll be checking this more carefully in the future for sure.

The price for the 2 components of AI ( beverage package & wi-fi) differ by sailing, promotion when booking, the random flash sales & discounts in the Cruise Planner. There hasn’t been a consistent price to purchase or upgrade beverage package or wi-fi in awhile.

Are you looking at these sail dates? It should be the same for the GB site.

Infinity Feb 23, Mar 3, Mar 15, Mar 25 and April 4 are all on Exciting Deals. The qualifying cabins vary a little bit but they are all Guarantee rates and Cruise Only. If you select one of those guarantee cabins then add All Inclusive, the Exciting Deals discount is removed and you will see a larger spread between the Guarantee cabin and selecting a cabin yourself then adding All Included.

because X sets the price at what the "market will stand" or, to use  travel speak, "dynamic pricing". It's up to each passenger  to decide what works best for them.

In our case it's always a traditional balcony with a fixed cabin (not a guarantee) at Sail Only Rates and pre paid tips.

No right or wrong just personal choices.
