Transportation from cruise terminal to Ft Lauderdale airport

We used Lyft and had no trouble.  We hit one bad patch of traffic  and it took less than an hour.  Of course this was a weekend,  People swear by the Brightline, but for us the Lyft was easier.  We waited at the cruise terminal about 5 minutes for the car to arrive,   The cost was about $50 but I won't pretend to remember exactly.  We were warned that it would be $150, but that was from someone trying to get us to book their shuttle....

Take a taxi. Easier than Uber and same price (or less)

Thanks Nachosdelux. Are taxis just waiting at the terminal or is it a taxi stand to request one?

If you mean the Port Everglades cruise terminal, there are taxis waiting right outside the door and the Uber/Lyft pickup area is right next to that. The Port Everglades cruise terminal to FLL airport is only about 4 miles and should be around $20-25.  I paid $55 to go all the way to MIA by Lyft in November 2022 and that is about 30 miles.

If you mean Miami Cruise terminal than the price quoted by @cantgetin makes sense.

Have fun!

You will be amazed at the huge line of taxis you will see getting off the ship.

Just make sure that you're going to get charged the meter rate before you get in.

Looking for recommendation on transportation back to FLL airport from Port Everglades.  We are party of 6.  Should we do shuttle, taxi, uber/lyft or rent a car.

It's literally a 5-10 min drive, so not worth the bother of renting a car.  Just grab a cab, or two if necessary

This November we took 2 different taxi rides in Ft Lauderdale. For both the cabbie insisted on being paid in cash after we arrived. Before we got into the taxi I asked if they accepted credit cards. Luckily we had cash but I’ll only do Uber in FFL from now on.

Are there taxis or Ubers that hold six people going back to the airport?

The key point here would be the unstated "with luggage ". There wouldn't be any Ubers that can handle 6 people with luggage,  and only a few taxis. You will probably need to split into two vehicles.

That’s kind of what I thought, thanks for your reply.

Very reliable and dependable. Communication is outstanding.

Highly recommend.
