Laundry

Recommended Posts

The laundry is $3 for wash and dry and $1.50 for detergent.   You use your medallion to get tokens for machines.   Quicker and cheaper then sending it out

What is the charge for laundry service on Princess ships?

It was $3 to wash and $3 to dry in self serve machines. It was charged to our room.  We had our own detergent, so don’t know the price of that.

Above posts reference self laundry. If you are thinking about laundry service the charge is by the piece, T shirts one price, underwear another price, dress shirts, shorts and such all have their own costs. From experience a bag of normal mixed laundry will be somewhere in the $45 to $55 range. Princess does not have bag pricing.

I told the wife that she could pack a smaller suitcase and use the self-serve laundry room on our deck, with the added bonus that she could use Ocean Now and get drinks delivered to her there.

You won't get that kind of treatment back here in Indiana!

Never thought I'd be bothered doing laundry on a ship but doing up a load or two on a last sea day takes little time and saves us having to do that much laundry when we get home.

Self-service laundry rooms are one of the main reasons we stick with Princess.

If they ever remove them, we will probably resume cruising with other lines.

Pro Tip - If you know you will be using the washing machine and dryer - get your tokens ahead of time.  Never know when the token machines may be down or out

We're doing a CruiseTour with 6 days in Australia followed by a 14 day cruise around NZ.  I had already planned to pack less and use the self serve laundry on one of the sea days between Sydney and NZ.    I'll probably also do at least one load on the sea days returning to Sydney.  It will be nice to get back to Texas with clean clothes.

If the token machine appears down, power cycle it.  Ran into that last month, pulling the plug and putting it back in worked.  On boot up could see it's Windows.
