Now folks have been cutting line in front of me all morning. It happened at the kiosk at the airport, when I went to hand my bag over at the airport, and again when I went to the table to get luggage tags. I just decided to roll with it. In a moment of weakness I did comment about how some people are aholes at the kiosk but they were pretty brazen about it. I’m not in a hurry and want to enjoy my time so just rolled with it outside of my one slip.

Remember I mentioned I was the first one stopped and told to take a seat. They weren’t exactly organized about it and folks just sat wherever. They left us sitting for about 15 minutes and the area quickly filled up. Then they started letting folks in 30 at a time from the front rows. I was probably sitting about 6 rows back.

At about the 30 minute point people start getting upset. They are bitching at the workers that they letting people in out of order. They’ve been there for 25 minutes and the folks they are letting in got there later. The woman explains she is doing her best. At this point she has let in the 1st 4 rows. I don’t disagree that it is being done out of order but in my mind at most it is maybe a 15 minute delay. So who cares?

The worker then makes the mistake of starting to let in the complainers. This caused her to jump from the 4th row to the back row. This caused an uproar including some racist comments from some folks.

At this point I have to step in and point out that I’ve actually been waiting the longest and I’m managing not to complain. Everyone is going to get on and they should leave the worker alone. I don’t know what is wrong with people.

My room is huge. I’m not sure if all the junior suites are like this. It has been awhile since I’ve been in a junior suite.  I’m don’t know which jr. suite category I’m in. Mine has a walk in closet, large bathroom with tub, and extended balcony. I would say it feels a little roomier than your average hotel room.

Looks like you are off to a great start. I will be interested in a few things besides your impressions of the Bamboo Room. Food quality how is it, MDR and or specialty restaurants? Also how good are the bars stocked with good bourbon and whiskey? Obviously service? And entertainment and shows good or bad what do you recommend? Thanks in advance.

I stopped by the spa thinking I could do a facial and massage under $300. Well nope. They wanted to charge almost $400 plus tip for what would be a 2 hour service. Not going to happen! I have a spa day booked at a very fancy place by my house next month that even lets you order lunch and I’ll be there for most the day. Even that is around $500 for the day. What Royal offers on this cruise is outrageous! Hard pass.

I went by the dining room when I realized I only had my time booked with no specific reservations. This was around 3 pm. I had no issues switching to the first traditional seating. Then I looked at my table and was disappointed. They put me on a two top that is squeezed in tightly with a bunch of other two tops. I’m not a fan. I’ll probably go this evening but if I don’t like which I’m guessing I will not I’ll find other alternatives for my remaining dinners. I know I won’t starve.

We will get back to Dupable a little later. I have a lot to say about her demands.

Well last night felt like a complete disaster. Mr. IT tried a bunch of different things but couldn’t get the garage door to stop opening on its own. We decided just to switch it over to manual.

Mr. IT kindly offered to get up at 3 am to load my bag in the car and get my car out of the garage. I said that is silly. I’ll just pull my car out and leave it in the driveway for the night. I head to bed thinking nothing else of it.

I was woken around 10 pm by this roaring sound. Our house is getting pounded by hail. It is dumping. It sounds like our windows are about to shatter. It is so loud. Mr. IT promptly reminds me where I’ve left my car.

I believe.....  I have fixed the drunken ghosted garage door.  A 2nd manual reset and it hasn't moved without my permission in over an hour now.  All I do is fix things

Yes! I found him and told him you are all talking about him online. He said he remembers you and he even blushed a little.  I’ve really enjoyed that bar so far. I love the vibe and all the servers have been friendly.

If anyone on board would be willing to get me a ship model I would be willing to cash app or PayPal the funds plus shipping to send it to me. My daughter and her husband were on this ship several years ago, and he passed away 2 years ago and she is trying to get the ship models from the cruises they took together.

Thank you so much for considering.!!

My day caught up with me early in the evening. I had dinner in the main dining room. They didn’t seat anyone at the tables next to me until I was about to leave. The meal was okay.

I put my bad luck on display in the casino for about 20 minutes and then headed back to my room. I was asleep before 8 pm. It is now almost 3 am and everyone else is heading to bed and I’m wide awake.

It is almost 7 am. I’ve been up for 4 hours. I was able to grab a little snack in the promenade around 6 am. I think a few more places are about to open at 7.

it is really cold this morning. I have sweat pants and a heavy sweatshirt on and I was still chilly when I went outside. I feel bad for folks that don’t expect it and just bring T-shirts and shorts. I’m hoping it warms up a little bit. I don’t spend a lot of time around the pool but when the weather gets cold it pushes all those people indoors to the places I do like to hang. Not ideal on sea days.

I really have only one plan for the day.

Hope your warms up. It was a cold cruise mid May.  The solarium isn’t closed so it limits where you can be inside and see the sea.  We sat in Starbucks one night for a view.

We were on last week. Had a 10:30 boarding time, but got there at 11:15. There was a line for the porters, but none in the terminal. We were on board pretty quickly.

As for Dupable’s question about the condition of the ship, I thought it was in great shape. All the public areas are very well maintained. Carpets look pretty new.   You could see a few patched areas in the shower, but otherwise in great shape.

Sailing in July with our granddaughter in a grand suite (it was cheaper than a balcony when I booked it).  When we get to the port anyone notice if there was a line for suites?  The last time I wasxat that port it was a port stop so would appreciate any help.

Not really. There are lines for the timed boarding. There is a web rope for the suite line, and you will have to show your seapass for them to let you through. Look for the sign.  After that, there is a suite check in booth. We didn't have any wait. But that is assuming they are still using the temporary check in structure.

Please stop telling everyone how nice the space in a JS is! Prices are going up enough already so let’s not make them any more popular than they already are and drive up the prices even more!

We’ve always been able to board in the Suite line when we’re in a JS. You probably would have been able to avoid some of the embarkation chaos that way.

NOOOOO! Looks like I will miss him, rats!

@Denversail could you check with him to see when he returns from vacation? Is it before we sail on October 18th?
