Rare Lady Arwen Posted May 30 #2 Share Posted May 30 We have the Premier package for our August sailing, so I guess we could try one of these. Honestly, it doesn’t really excite me all that much.

Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted May 30 #4 Share Posted May 30 Thanks @LACruiser88 for the post. Voli vodka has been around for a while and Pitbull bought it and then brought it to Miami to be produced. He made such a big to do about it when he did that. It's not even an expensive vodka! Not sure what the big deal is and why Princess is touting it as exclusive since you can buy it at Total Wine for $22. 4

I’m finding it difficult to get all worked up about Pitbull’s vodka! Grey Goose suffices for me. It will be tough to beat Whispering Angel, too!

Keep with the Grey Goose, it's much smoother than Pitbull's vodka. Feels like it's the same PR group that promoted the Brightline partnership, much ado about nothing. Astro Flyer Posted May 30 #12 Share Posted May 30 (edited) They are likely another overpriced “celebrity” line of alcohol where the cost for the celebrity’s endorsement results in a higher price without necessarily a higher quality…paying more for the name. I know a TW store manager who gets celebrity endorsers who attend sales promotions to hype sales of their endorsed products which is no guarantee of a higher quality product…just more expensive for the celebrity endorsement. Rare BamaVol Posted May 30 #13 Share Posted May 30 Because everything with a celebrity’s name on it is better. 🙄

sultan_sfo Posted May 30 #15 Share Posted May 30 (edited) ANY addition to wines offered By The Glass is most welcome. The wines on the Plus List do not show the names of the Wines. So even with Plus Package we always order from the Premier List. We have been requesting on-board and in our surveys for Princess to add higher end wines to the Wine-By-Glass list even if the price per glass is higher than $20 so those even on Premier Package can pay the differential and order them. Currently, only Caymus "Regular" Cabernet at $28 is offered on some ships but sometimes we have been able to order the Caymus on other sailings by getting approval from the Bar Manager. We have also requested that the Wine Lists show the AVA -- eg Napa / Sonoma instead of California. Some of the New Additions will be Napa. Rare JimmyVWine Posted May 30 #16 Share Posted May 30 Having Pit Bull's name attached to a product is kryptonite as far as I'm concerned. And Melorosa Cabernet can be found in a handful of wine shops in and around Nashville for about $17-$20 per bottle. It has neither the grape source nor the winemaking team that could come close to qualifying this as a high-end, luxury brand. They will be selling this wine by the glass at a cost that likely exceeds the price of a full bottle. With an allowance of 15 drinks per day, there is no reason for me not to taste it. But the odds of this being something "exciting and new" are very, very low.

It’s rather odd that Princess decided to roll out new wines on a ship that does not have a wine centric venue.
