blue marble, where are you?

I can confirm what others have reported for QA's first scheduled meetings in port with QM2 and QV. I wasn't expecting to see a meeting between QA and QE but there is one on the schedule while QA is on her 2025 world voyage and QE is between Australia and Japan.

QA and QM2: June 23, 2024 - Southampton

QA and QV: August 5, 2024 - Civitavecchia

QA and QE: March 19, 2025 - Hong Kong

In addition to several other dates when QA will be in Southampton with QM2 or QV, there are also these other meetings with QA on the schedule.

QA and QV: November 7, 2024 - Funchal

QA and QV: December 12, 2024 - Lisbon

QA and QM2: April 24, 2025 - Cadiz

I'm not seeing any "Three Queens" meetings on the schedule (involving QA or otherwise). In fact, here is the only date I'm finding where QM2, QV or QE are scheduled to be in port on the same day in the itineraries released so far.

QM2 and QV: October 24, 2025 - Southampton

Ah, I'm joining QV on 5th August, so will be nice to see QA as well. Will try and get a decent photo, but with the port as it is, there may not be great access to vantage points, and may be bedlam trying to get back off the ship having just boarded. May have to be something from the QV deck.

Here’s how the speciality dining benefit works for Diamond members onboard Queen Anne:

You will receive one complimentary meal during your voyage**. You can choose from lunch at Sir Samuel's, or and evening meal at Aranya or Tramanto (valid until Saturday, 22 June 2024) To avoid disappointment, early booking is highly recommended; you call dinning reservations 38000 to make your reservation. A supplement to dine at Sir Samuel's or Ajiwa in the evening will be a $30 per person additional charge.”

Glad they’ve got this sorted out.

Cunard does Indian meals well and I’d vote for Aranya for dinner. I hope you get a reservation of your liking.

Did they actually say DINNING reservations?
Who is writing for Cunard?

Retiring early this evening as it's been a long day paired with losing an hour tonight.

We opted to dine in Aji Wa this evening as it's our favourite speciality restaurant, I wanted to try and avoid any possible embarkation evening delays as it was the first proper food I'd have all day.

Again, food quality and service well deserving of the charge, although they had ran out of the Saki we were recommended to try on the maiden voyage.

As well, luggage delivery was much much quicker than on the maiden voyage. Our suitcases arrived I'd say within an hour (maybe an hour and a half?) of us boarding the ship.

To add, while they did block the starboard lifts for suitcases earlier in the day, the lifts we've used this evening did seem to be quicker than the maiden voyage. I can't compare to the other recent trips, but it certainly does seem to be improved from when we were last onboard.

Tonight's entertainment was Duo Yalba, who we've seen before. But just as good as we remember them being, and certainly worth watching again.

I'd like to also add that the crew are fantastic. So many of the new crew welcoming us back as they seem to remember us (hopefully for good reasons!) - it's of course never required, but after what I can assume has been a very stressful few weeks, it's nice to have that personal welcome.

A quick question for a few of you as well, we have changed both captain and entertainment director since the maiden voyage (as I'm sure their contracts are over for a few months). We now have Captain David Hudson and Entertainment Director Micahel Harvey. Are they new to Cunard, or just Queen Anne? As mentioned previously, we've mainly sailed on Queen Mary 2 and haven't come across either of them, but first impressions seem great so far, so was curious.

Michael Harvey I've met - he's Canadian, and I thought he was land based in Southampton, managing the entertainment department for P&O UK as well as Cunard.

David Hudson has been with Cunard since 2006 apparently but it sounds as if he's been on Queen Elizabeth recently.

Lovely and relaxing morning onboard so far.

Went to the thermal suite early this morning, and had the area to myself for an hour which was nice! (Although felt a little weird having it all to myself)

Then off to the lobby for an espresso before 3 laps of the deck, after which doing a little work in the commodore club.

Then to the talk about Theo Fabergé before seeing the unveiling of two new items commissioned by Cunard.

Now having a quick lunch in the Pavilion before this afternoons activities.

Thank you for taking us along and sounds like you have got off to a great start! Surprised there is a change of captain and entertainment director so early on in her maiden season! Is this typical? Be interesting if you notice any changes - being able to compare within a few weeks of your last time on board.

Don't forget that they will have been onboard/involved with the ship for several months before her first voyage - probably just their normal rota.

I agree, and before that too as the original Maiden was for January. Contracts would have been rostered to take all this in.

The QG M d' is on leave 14th July and he has been heavily involved for months before the original Maiden.

There were quite a few staff leaving in Southampton yesterday from bar staff up to the choir master, entertainment director etc.  A lot amongst the lower grades were very excited to be either going home or changing ship.

Interested that you had a faberge talk and unveiling. On the Canaries voyage we also had a faberge talk and unveiling. Items unveiled were the new Queen Anne pendant and an egg which if I remember rightly had a ship inside. Did they unveil something new or was it the same 2 items?

They unveiled a neclace and an egg that had a seahorse inside.

After lunch I went to a casino lesson, and while I have a basic knowledge of casino games it was interesting and fun to partake - if only I could have cashed out my $175 "winnings" 🤣 I did a few table games while the low limits were on offer before we went to the 4pm show.

We really enjoyed the production show! We missed it during the maiden voyage so we were excited to see it on this cruise again, and it didn't disappoint - great acting, performing, and talent from all involved, including the technical side of things.

Dinner this evening was in the Britannia Restaurant, Deck 3 Open Dining. Great service, really good food as well. Such an improvement from the maiden voyage, and I made sure to communicate how good everything was with the correct people. I'm sure they're hearing a lot of complaints recently, so I hope some good news will balance things out.

Given we did the 4pm show, we decided to see Noir again. The cast actually recognised us and we had a quick chat, and they asked if we'd like to partake again (we did a lot during our first viewing) - however our request to remain as just viewers was kindly accepted, as we wanted to see everyone have a chance.

Back to the cabin now and I'm so happy to see that the Formula 1 Grand Prix will be hosted in the Pavilion tomorrow. Honestly something so simple has made my cruise! Can't wait to sit in the nice weather with a drink and F1 on the big screen.

We're in Vigo tomorrow and have a tour booked, so I may have a smaller/less frequent updates.

So pleased you can see tangible improvements already. Sounds amazing Formula 1 on the big screen.

I am also on this cruise docked in Vigo today a lot of old Cunarders not happy with the changes especially the queen’s room.

we have a inside cabin that is functional although very little cupboard space and shower drain showing signs of rust?

the shower cubicle is excellent.

waited one and a quarter hours today for our cooked breakfast walked out eventually as no sign of breakfast complained to pursers desk as not really acceptable.

Spanish tax today plus 11% service charge on drinks so no drinks onboard today😁

This evening should be OK for drinks. I thought service charge was 15%.

This was one of the reasons (though a small one) I purchased a drinks package on this cruise.

If you’re getting desperate for a drink, come find me and I’ll get you one on the package 😉
