Casino: Do you still use cash? Or does all of your gambling come off of the shipboard account (which I am assuming is the credit card you have left with front desk for stateroom charges)? I have read something about cashing out before the cruise ends.

Laundry: Do you use coins or tokens? Or is this all automated now with medallion class? How much is a wash and dry?

Any tips for things not to miss on this particular ship? Sailing in 4 days!

You use your medallion to purchase tokens for the washers, dryers and products if you didn't bring your own. $3.50 for wash and or Dry so $7.50 per load.

Casino. You can play cash but you must cash out winnings to your casino account and you can cash that out anytime the casino is open.

When you go from machine to machine, do they print out vouchers like in Vegas? Or is it all tied to your shipboard account with the medallion? This medallion stuff is all new to me. Table games do you walk away with chips and go to cashier?

It is "saved" in your casino account, which is different from your total on board folio. It will move electronically from machine to machine with you as you move. Make sure to "close out" your session before you leave a machine.

Slots. Place your medallion on the circle. Set up a casino account. Use cash or charge to your on board account. Cash outs go to your casino account. Go to the cashier to get your payout from your casino account. Make certain you close your casino account on the last evening.

Tables. To charge to your on board account provide your medallion to the dealer and mention how much you want. The pit boss will process the charge. The dealer will give you the chips. Cash. Drop it on the table and the dealer will give you the chips. The dealer may ask for your medallion to track play. When done take your chips to the cashier to get paid.

If you are sailing from Alaska to Vancouver do not wait until the last night to cash out. The casino will be closed that night as they don't go far enough out to sea between Victoria and Vancouver. I learned this the hard way. They did, however, mail me a check a few weeks later so I did get the casino cash back. Unfortunately, I was left with no cash to tip my steward as I had counted on the money from the casino.

That is only on cruises that go through Victoria. I have b2b cruises  Vancouver -Whittier and then Whittier-Vancouver. Neither leg is going through Victoria.
