Husband has just pointed out to me that it is actually a safety device.

If the ship suddenly sinks, searchers can pinpoint the location by looking for floating ducks.

And if you squeeze said ducks, the sound will attract attention for your recovery. Much louder than a lifejacket whistle. 

Safety comes first, always carry a duck.

The duck people are not that big group to worry about it's the pineapple you need to be more focused about avoiding.

Not in a minority on FB that's for sure.  Lots of people think it's pathetic on Adult Only ships.  fine for kids.  But seems it has given some amusement on here, so that's OK 😆

We have a new café by the lake ( communal lake, not private.). DW's friend called....we can meet at the new place next to the lake..Quackers...DW got there.....it's called duckies.🤣
