Are there typically more children on 7 day Bermuda cruises in June?

I never have until I got onboard. There have often been servers standing outside the buffet area offering discounts. I don’t know what is on that ship, have not been on it but my favorite specialty restaurant on Solstice class has been Lawn Club. If they have Lawn Club I would book it one evening for sure. Onboard though not in advance.

I'm definitely open. Will listen to any discounts but also need to see what times are left. The tasting menu at $125 pp plus 20% is ridiculous though. Not at that price. What's the usual first night discount?

I was on the June 16 cruise. Suffice it to say I'm fairly kid averse, and I didn't think there was a huge number of kids on that cruise. Definitely some but not an overwhelming number. And I have to say the kids I did encounter seemed really well behaved. I, personally, probably wouldn't book Bermuda beyond that date.

Unfortunately past experiences tend to be somewhat irrelevant (unless recent) because Celebrity has changed their marketing strategy to appeal to younger people, including families with kids (proven by their 3rd and 4th sail free promotion).  So there will be likely more at that time than there were last year for instance.  Any cruises during summer or school breaks will have more kids.  More than what?  More than the usual Celebrity sailings.  But definitely less than Royal or Disney or Carnival

I just got off the Eclipse this am.  Tons of kids….the most I’ve seen on any of my many Celebrity sailings.  In fact the whole demographic was vastly different.  People with face tattoos, several mullets and even a group of satanists, but that’s for another discussion.

July and August are a different demographic than usual. Not just on Bermuda sailings. I made the mistake booking Celebrity Century back in the day for a 7 day Caribbean. Kids over ran the ship and the parents allowed them to do anything. I felt sorry for the crew.

We (a couple) were on June 30th cruise to Bermuda and it was filled with large families including a lot of kids.  The main dining room felt like a high school cafeteria with the noise.  The kids at the table behind us were sitting in the window wells and would not stay seated.

We will not cruise that week in the future.

 Some relatives just cruised to/ from Bermuda/NY over July 4th with 2 teen and 1 college student,  but opted for Norwegian.. waiting for feedback! 

 

(Driving to Bayonne is a big annoyance from where we live on LI NY..even with upgraded highways!)
