Can't wait! Well, I'll either be on the cruise with you if it's the 24th sailing, or I'll be getting on the ship when you return if it's the 3rd sailing, as I'm also doing the 10 day in between the two.
DingoMom Posted July 29 #127 Share Posted July 29 For just a second, I will hop on @WrittenOnYourHeart’s thread… THIS MORNING I HAD COFFEE WITH CAPTAIN KATE!! …* * kind of. I was in a secluded little spot near Cafe Al Bacio with DH at 11:00 a.m. She and one of her officers came in to the same little area for their morning coffee. It looked like they were having a ‘work’ conversation, so we didn’t interrupt. She was very gracious to the staff who was taking care of them and to the guests who spotted her. On my way out, I told her that I was going to tell all my friends that I had coffee with her. 12

She was probably heading there after we saw her and Bug on the bridge!
Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 29 Author #129 Share Posted July 29 (edited) It’s been a chill day after the excitement of Bug on tour! I chilled in my cabin and watched the Men’s Team Final in Gymnastics! Then took a nap. 🤣🤣🤣 Tonight is the Pride Party at 10:45 and I would like to stay up for it - me being me! 🌈🌈 Dinner was good - I had the corn soup and the steak salad (which was more like steak AND a salad. Lol. Cherries Jubilee for dessert - the sugar added variety this time, and honestly it tasted the same. I’m at the theater now for the debut show for this cast!! They just handed over on Saturday!! It’s Elements. I hope they make a big deal with watch parties for the Women’s Team Final tomorrow and All Around Final (and Event Finals) since Simone IS the ship’s godmother!! We’ll see! (Apologies the the entree pic with the steak already cut. I thought I had taken it, but hadn’t. It was good and juicy - so juicy it splashed all over my shirt when I cut it!) I appreciate a cut into steak photo, demonstrating the how juicy it is. Also appreciate all these wonderful food photos. I just hope the shirt does well in the wash! 😁

Sox Fan Cruiser Posted July 30 #135 Share Posted July 30 Could you tell me if the show used original songs or do they build a show around popular songs that every knows (regardless of music genre)?

Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 30 Author #137 Share Posted July 30 The Small Group Local Jeep Experience tour was a lot of fun! Dusty, but a lot of fun. There were 41 but we were in 4 jeeps and I think they each had spare seats in them. You do have to haul yourself up into the jeep, but somehow that got easier as it went on. lol. Some pics! Those are the ancient drawings. They are behind bars to protect them. They are not sure what they mean yet but archeologists here are working with some in Colombia as similar ones have been found there. No cat was spotted (on the X website there is a cat in the pic), but we saw this fine fellow munching greenery. Then we scrambled up some rocks. Not sure if that is part of the ancient drawings or “graffiti” from more modern times. Then we did the off-road portion to the natural bridges. This guide’s name was Reggie but they called him Maui. 🤣🤣 Then we went by Frenchman’s Pass and then to Mangel Halto Beach for a bit. It was very rocky, but pretty. As we were leaving, my driver Jason pulled to the side and pointed out the hill you can barely make out (I circled it in pink) - that is Venezuela! Then we came back. Be prepared to be dirty!! The cold towels they gave us ended up a nice shade of tan. 🤣🤣🤣 I went to the Pandora store to get a charm for my sister, then came back for a shower. I have about 90 minutes before I meet for my sunset sail. 11

Rare hcat Posted July 30 #140 Share Posted July 30 Love tours that go to the cactus gardens... with interesting animals , rocks etc. Quite a contrast from the beachy side or shopping areas! Sounds like you had a fun day!
ch175 Posted July 30 #141 Share Posted July 30 Thank you for taking us along! I am on Reflection ABC in December, so I am interested in how you spend your time on each island. That will also be my first solo, so I alternate between being super excited and a little worried being by myself. Reading this makes me feel way less worried (or whatever it is I am feeling). Continue having a great vacation!
Rare KKB Posted July 30 #142 Share Posted July 30 @WrittenOnYourHeart enjoying your TR so much--particularly as a fellow (retired) educator & cat owner, as well as a HUGE E-class fan (as well as Captain Kate & Bug)! Haven't been on the Beyond since Dec & it seems like AGES. We are sailing Ascent for the 1st time this Dec. Have a WONDERFUL time--looks like you already are!!

Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 31 Author #146 Share Posted July 31 Good morning from Bonaire!! I’ll update the rest of yesterday now - I was super tired and went to bed early last night. The sunset sail was nice. A little more party the description made it sound (the other one sounded more party from the description), but I always love being on the water. And Beyond looks so pretty in Golden Hour! Dinner was French Onion Soup with gluten-free bread It was so filled it exploded when I went in for some at first… And the ribeye steak (I did get back to the shop after Pandora in time to see the US Women’s Team win Gold! Yay!! Especially if Simone wins the All-Around I hope they do something special since she is our Godmother!)

Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 31 Author #148 Share Posted July 31 I’m back from snorkeling with Woodwind!! More later but… 1 - They had all kinds of gluten-free options for snacks, and my lunch was had a quinoa base rather than noodle. 2 - (and most important) We saw a green sea turtle!!!! I bought the pics and I’ll post once I have them!! I was trying not to cry in my mask I was so happy!! My back is sunburned, but it was worth it!
