Curious as to how many of you have gotten this promotion added to an existing booking that was made prior to HAL making this offer?

Not me, they said no.  I am past final payment.

I did even though I was originally told no, only for new bookings...we aren't past final payment if that makes a difference.

You will need to re-book carefully.  Usually with careful adjustments you can keep some of your former perks and of course your cabin and Club Orange if you purchased.  The overall price might be higher so do your math.

I asked our travel agent about it, if we can cancel and have our same room.  She had it redone with the same room but we lost $50 obc out of $450.  Am happy.

Was originally told no, but clerk on phone checked with supervisor.  Had to increase my deposit by $396 since I booked $1 deposit, but all good!!

Does one have to purchase HIA to receive the free prepaid gratuities?  Anybody know?

Cancelled your pre-paid crew appreciation of $1,007 per person and request a refund.

 

Add the pre-paid crew appreciation complimentary.

 

You lost your onboard credit. ($450, but was able to keep the military OBC)

Yes.  Free gratuities are part of the HIA package.

Sherry the prepaid gratuities I was referring to in my original question are those you get with the special Promotion HAL is currently running, "Free Prepaid Crew Appreciation", that is good until August 20. There is no HIA involved with it. Certain of the HIA programs HAL has had did include Prepaid Gratuities as part of their package but not all of them did. Don't remember right now what other "benefit" they kept switching it with. 

But again, the one I am inquiring about is totally outside of HIA.

No, we didn't....kept our original booking which did include CO & military & health care OBC.

Yes, I did forget that. The early booking bonus on certain grand voyages in certain classes of cabins includes free gratuities
