Hrhbob Posted August 13 #1 Share Posted August 13 I know this has been answered before but darned if I can find it. First cruise as Platinum and in Haven. Where and when do I sign up for the Behind the Scene tour? I’ve heard it fills up very quickly!

ChiefMateJRK Posted August 13 #3 Share Posted August 13 We took this for the first time a few weeks ago. Saw the main galley, laundry and backstage. It was interesting, but I won't do it again for a while. On the Bliss, we had to climb and descend several crew stairways, and the steps are somewhat steeper than the guest stairs on the ship. Keep that in mind if anybody has bad knees/legs.
Rare Anoynmous Phoenix Posted August 13 #4 Share Posted August 13 As soon as you board and the Cruise Next desk is open but it must be embarkation day before about 9pm.
Rare www3traveler Posted August 14 #5 Share Posted August 14 You are required to wear closed toed shoes-- no flip flops or sandals. The galley and laundry are worth seeing once.
dexddd Posted August 14 #6 Share Posted August 14 They make things for high tiered guests very inconvenient. Go first day to CN desk and wait in line.
seemoreroyals Posted August 14 #7 Share Posted August 14 If I remember correctly CN desk is where you also go if you are interested in free Platinum wine tasting perk. Have done that once several years back, was underwhelmed, think we will give it one more shot on upcoming cruise.
srussell12 Posted August 14 #8 Share Posted August 14 May I take a guest (not platinum) on the Behind the Scene Tour and the Wine Tasting instead of husband (platinum)?

No to the behind the scenes tour (unless your cruise has an unusually low number of platinums). Our son was able to go on it once when there were only a few people interested, but that was very unusual. I suspect that the answer is also no to the wine tasting, but I’ve had me experience. Technically, no. It's personal. But I don't know how strictly it's enforced.

I was rejected when I asked to take my non-Platinum cabin mate when I did this. As said above, they might if there aren't many Platinums on board, but I doubt that ever happens any more. They make you sign in and wear a name badge while on the tour (which is accompanied by a member of the security team). I suppose you could register your husband and then have your guest pretend to be your husband on the day of the tour, but that would wrong and you might be questioned on it if they caught on. srussell12 Posted August 14 #12 Share Posted August 14 Thank you all! I did not think I could take a guest but thank you for confirming.
