It has been a while since we took a celebrity cruise, we have achieved platinum on NCL but we see a 8-day cruise we are looking at with celebrity.  What has changed, how expensive is the 3 specialty dinning package.   Any feedback would be very helpful Thanks in advance for the help

We have many cruises with both Celebrity and NCL and have cruised both again this year.  I find the buffets and dining room better on Celebrity.  On NCL, we do enjoy LeBistro....not so much Cagneys, as when we cruised on NCL in 2023, our steak at Cagneys was very tough, we this year while on the Gem, we did not go to Cagneys, but instead went just to LeBistro and Moderno, which we had never been to before this year.

We've only ever had specialty dinner at Tuscan Grill on Celebrity, and we did enjoy it, but much preferred LeBistro comparing the two.

What Celebrity ship are you considering? When was your last Celebrity cruise? Few things that we like about Celebrity is no smoking in the casino or any inside venues. When you first board the ship you are allowed to go directly to your stateroom and drop off your carry on(s) and retrieve your Seapass card(s) at your stateroom. You are asked not to linger in the stateroom. Leave and wait until the general announcement is made that the staterooms are ready. Usually around 1:PM.  Also if you purchase a Beverage Package the gratuities are included at the time of purchase. Not an additional charge when ordering drinks. We've never cruise with NCL so my comparisons are extremely limited and can't compare loyalty program perks/benefits.

OK just looked up...regular price is $180-190pp w/ tips for 3 specialty dining package.

Now, it is almost always 5% off & you may catch it 35% off on flash sales or Black Friday.

There was just a flash sale & the 3 dining package is SOLD OUT for our Dec cruise!

I agree that Celebrity MDR & buffet are better than NCL & overall I feel their specialty dining is as well, if not by a lot.

We have eaten Cagney's on every one of our NCL sailings & always fantastic.

Now, you don't say what ship you are on. But I have not had one bad specialty meal on Celebrity ever. I hesitate to make recommendations w/o knowing your shihp.

All this being said, I don't think you will be disappointed--except perhaps for no shorts at dinner.

We migrated to NCL many rears ago because we thought the service was more personal.  After a family cruise this last January on NCL, we have decided to avoid NCL if possible.  There are other options that for a similar price provide better options and better service.

We have sailed on NCL many times and in last couple of years made the switch to Celebrity. I feel MDR better on Celebrity than NCL. Last couple of trips to Cagney were not that great as it use to be. Other than that, we feel the specialty restaurants are pretty even on both. We really love the Martini bar on Celebrity compared to NCL bars.

Started off as X fans then became big NCL (Haven) fans. Our last NCL cruise wasn't, in many ways, up to par.  Quality of beef in the Haven Restaurant and Cagney's was really, really bad.  NCL is no longer our go to line.  Returning to X after our last sailing with them in May of 2017.  We will see what happens.  Have been really happy with Azamara and pleased with Oceania.
