Sun Princess Park 19 removal is starting

Ropes course is being disassembled. Scaffolding still in place for additional work. I suspect we will see more work beginning starting with extended stay in Southampton before start of TA.

Not a bad time to get all the small fiddly stuff taken down. Anything that can be removed with wrench, socket set or screwdrivers should be relatively simple to disassemble and box up for return to the vendor. The big stuff requiring heavy equipment will have to wait.

 

1) Is the track still open during this process?

2) What's on the low seats in the photos? They look like some kind of loudspeaker to me.

Looks like they have removed the trucks for the roller glider too.

Just looked on Ebay, it's all on there, so far it's upto $13.59

My guess is Princess wants this gone before the ship arrives in the USA on October 9th, shipn has a  4 day media press cruise so it needs to be gone for that.

The ride didn't function mechanically while the ship was at sea.

According to this article They are changing the name to SkyDeck Sports Court and Track

Simple enough change, but I suspect they'll do something more on the Star Princess given the longer runway they have before it launches

Major deconstruction is ongoing. The entire area has been blocked off for nearly a week. The roller glider infrastructure is being completely removed. I expect it will be completely gone by the time we get to Ft. Lauderdale
