ariawoman Posted December 23, 2015 #2504 Share Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) SHIP: Equinox CABIN #: 1120 DECK #: 10 CLASS: C2 Starboard/Port: Starboard. AREA: Midship/Hump BED NEAR: Balcony QUIET?: Yes BALCONY VIEW: no obstructions BALCONY SIZE: extra large balcony on hump. Chairs/footstools/table present. WIND A PROBLEM?: no SOOT A PROBLEM?: no Neighbor has a hot tub on the balcony. Ours never used it, so I'm not sure if that would pose a noise issue. The hot tub on the balcony is on the wall closest to 1120. The bedroom of that cabin is also on that same wall. There is a door connecting the room on the right, but we didn't hear anything from that cabin the entire week. This location is right around the corner from the hideaway which I was worried would be noisy, but it was quiet. VideoTech Posted December 30, 2015 #2511 Share Posted December 30, 2015 Ship: Reflection Cabin: 2184 Category: S1 or S2 (not sure) Avoid this cabin at all costs, particularly if you are a light sleeper. This cabin is right under the Ocean Buffet. Celebrity will tell you that the areas above are "carpeted." Nope. this cabin is approximately under the main beverage station on the starboard side of the cafe. Constant noise: walking and running passengers, loud rolling service carts, as well as crashing and banging from the kitchens and cleaning stations. Goes on 24 hours a day. Other than that, the cabin is very spacious, and since the balcony is under the overhanging cafe, it's shaded all the time if that's important to you. Algebralovr Posted January 6, 2016 #2512 Share Posted January 6, 2016 SHIP: Silhouette CABIN #: 6252 DECK #: 6 CLASS: 2C AREA: midship behind the hump BED NEAR: balcony QUIET?: very little noise from neighbors or public areas, but..... BALCONY VIEW: obstructed BALCONY SIZE: standard WIND A PROBLEM?: no SOOT A PROBLEM?: no PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: There is a rattle in the ceiling that is irregular and loud enough that I recorded it with my phone and played it for the housekeeping supervisor. They attempted to stop it, and were able to improve it some with wood blocks, but it was still an issue.
metrolady Posted January 6, 2016 #2513 Share Posted January 6, 2016 Ship- Equinox ( Nov2015) Cabin- 3139 Class- OV 06 Bed-- by the window- Large window - great view with lots of light. Location- Deck 3 behind Guest Services. No movement felt at this lower level. We Loved this Great Location.!!! We were mere steps from the Passport Bar and MDR. One flight up to Casino, Theatre and Gastro Bar. Only used the elevators to go to the pool. Quiet?- Hallway was very quiet, used mainly by officers to access the stairwell. Occasionally some scraping noises below-possibly a kitchen storage area? We will definitely book this cabin again- great value and location. twoflyers Posted January 11, 2016 #2515 Share Posted January 11, 2016 SHIP: Eclipse CABIN #: 3101 (oceanview) DECK #: Plaza (3) CLASS: 7 AREA: forward BED NEAR: Midroom. This is a "accessible" cabin. We did not request it, but was assigned as a GTY. Thought we would be moved out to accommodate guests who would need it (and we saw a few who should have had it). QUIET?: VERY NOISY at all hours of the night. Clanging metal, crew parties, maintenance work being done. Terrible cabin. BALCONY VIEW: N/A WIND A PROBLEM?: N/A SOOT A PROBLEM?: N/A PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Cabin itself is very nice, but the issues with noise at night make it very undesirable. On the final night of the cruise I was awakened at 3:00 a.m. and never could get back to sleep with all the noise. Made for a very unpleasant travel day. However the noise from the Sky Lounge was a problem for me - but I'm a light sleeper and also go to bed early. So it might not bother others. psantho Posted January 17, 2016 #2519 Share Posted January 17, 2016 Deck - Deck 6 Cabin #6210 Class –2D Obstructed Balcony Starboard Bed near? – Bath Quiet Cabin - Minor noise coming from activities in Grand Foyer. For the most part not an issue unless the DJ plays, then the bass sound is more prominent (always over by midnight) There was a bit of creaking as the ship rocked--more so than I've experienced in the past. Balcony View - This is an obstructed view category (lifeboats), but this cabin is at the very end of the lifeboats. There was no obstruction in front of us. Balcony Size - the cabin is forward-facing on the hump, so the balcony is larger and slightly angled. SO much room! We had two chairs that reclined, a regular chair and a good sized table with room to spare. Was wind a problem? No Any specific problems with this cabin? No--we loved this cabin Any other comments? Great cabin for the value.
