DP Posted June 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2009 What is your favorite bar for pre-dinner cocktails. Do all bars offer nuts or some munchies in the evening?

I have never seen munchies in the bars but we usually have a cocktail on our balcony with some cheeze and crackers from the Horizon Court!
paul929207 Posted June 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2009 We sail on the smal ships (Pacific, Royal and Tahitian/Ocean) and they have salty munchies out. We like the casino lounge with a piano player.
jfv379 Posted June 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Adagio, next to Sabitinis if they have it. Nice Piano Bar. We also enjoyed Crooners but that mostly because of the entertainer. Wheelhouse Bar allows smoking if you wish.
frankathy Posted June 24, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2009 We love Crooners on the CB. But she is a cut thru on the Emerald and Ruby so it is not as quiet. On the Emerald and Ruby we loved Adagio (Deck 16 aft) next to Sabatini's. They give you stuffed olives (blue cheese, almond, garlic, plain) and bread sticks. Sanibel*Gal Posted June 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Adagio's is one of our faves too & the Wheelhouse. The stuffed olives are delicious and go perfect with a pre-dinner cocktail.:D

pokey's mom Posted June 24, 2009 #10 Share Posted June 24, 2009 I too have to say the Adagio is my favorite, but if not available on your ship Crooner's is my second favorite. You can request salty munchies at most of the bars. The stuffed olives are the best!!! Enjoy!!!!
RBAlbany Posted June 24, 2009 #11 Share Posted June 24, 2009 How is Outriggers on the CB. I am going in July, and it looks very inviting to be watching yourself sailing away from everything!!:p
Mimi39 Posted June 24, 2009 #12 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Skywalkers for a pre-dinner martini and the fabulous view. No snacks though.

rdsqrl Posted June 25, 2009 #14 Share Posted June 25, 2009 How is Outriggers on the CB. I am going in July, and it looks very inviting to be watching yourself sailing away from everything!!:p It is! I love Outriggers. I don't usually have a pre-dinner drink there but I do have a sailaway drink there (that's the great thing about cruising: every time of the day calls for its own drink!). I usually like my pre-dinner drink at Adagio: a quiet martini as I prepare myself for the exertion of eating a three- or four-course dinner. RickEk Posted June 25, 2009 #15 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Well, I haven't been on a ship that has Adagio, so my vote would have to go to Crooners!
royalcruz Posted June 25, 2009 #16 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Wheelhouse, if we like the band.
Divvy Posted June 25, 2009 #17 Share Posted June 25, 2009 My vote goes to Crooners or the Wheelhouse . If there are no snacks out and you ask for nuts or pretzels do the charge you .
rdsqrl Posted June 25, 2009 #18 Share Posted June 25, 2009 My vote goes to Crooners or the Wheelhouse . If there are no snacks out and you ask for nuts or pretzels do the charge you . Are you asking if they charge you? No, not at all. They have a mix (pretzels, nuts, something else I don't remember) in a little mini-carafe thingie, and they put it down on every table when they come to take your order. If you don't get it, just ask.
Divvy Posted June 25, 2009 #19 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Oh good , we only goy one lot of nuts on our last ( 1st ) cruise and were scared to ask on other nights incase we were charged . We have to watch the pennies a bit , like a lot of people .

catlove44 Posted June 25, 2009 #23 Share Posted June 25, 2009 We love to have a pre-dinner martini in The Wheelhouse bar every night. So fun to watch the couples dancing.
packercruising Posted June 25, 2009 #24 Share Posted June 25, 2009 We determine favorite bar based on the bartender. If we find one or two we really like we tend to stick with him/her.
Momma Mojito Posted June 25, 2009 #25 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Our first cruise with Princess was two years ago and we really enjoyed The Wheelhouse, The band that was there was called "Phoenix Rising" between their great music and the dancers they brought to the floor we reallyenjoyed ourselves.. Last year on the Crown we tried the Wheelhouse but the band that was there was not to our liking so we hit all the other bars.
