Roce48 Posted September 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2015 On the Anthem, is there a Smart Casual complimentary restaurant that offers a lobster tail?
cb at sea Posted September 2, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2015 I think they're only served in the MDR....some of the specialty restaurants might have some lobster dish, but not the tail....
ryano Posted September 2, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2015 (edited) Sigh. Anthem doesnt have an MDR. Looks like The Grande is the only place that serves lobster tail. Its formal wear only. Edited September 2, 2015 by ryano
Rare conandrob240 Posted September 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2015 So, does that mean no lobster tails?
Clarea Posted September 2, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 2, 2015 I thought someone posted that you could get them in Coastal Kitchen, but that would require a full suite.

Only if you don't want to wear formal attire.

Not sure about Anthem, but they were available in CK on the Oasis on the 2nd formal night.

Merion_Mom Posted September 2, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 2, 2015 On the Anthem, is there a Smart Casual complimentary restaurant that offers a lobster tail? The Grande is not "all that formal". Throw on a jacket (for a man) and a dress (for a woman) and you'll be "allowed" in.
Alter Ego Posted September 2, 2015 #12 Share Posted September 2, 2015 Having never been on Quantum or Anthem, but an avid reader of these boards, I understand the 1st night of the cruise is also not formal (although, as noted above, even "formal" nights appear iffy.). Whether they have lobster on day 1, somebody who's actually taken the cruise would need to answer.

CrusinAgain Posted September 2, 2015 #14 Share Posted September 2, 2015 We got lobster tails in American Icon one night in the Quantum on a separate menu and that is casual. I am hoping they do the same on Anthem. You can go to the Grande first night only in non formal wear. We learned that from those before us and then saw it on the Royal website. Life is Good Cruising Posted September 2, 2015 #15 Share Posted September 2, 2015 CK on Quantum had Lobster which should be the same for Anthem, along with Grande.
north29 Posted September 2, 2015 #16 Share Posted September 2, 2015 With the lobster tails being edible, some times good sometimes hockey pucks. This is from a lobster fisherman/diver who knows how to cook them. Send them back if not edible.
ratfam Posted September 3, 2015 #17 Share Posted September 3, 2015 There were no lobster tails on the menu at Grande or any of the other complimentary restaurants during the August 15 14 night Med on Anthem.
Lassie5 Posted September 7, 2015 #18 Share Posted September 7, 2015 There were no lobster tails on the menu at Grande or any of the other complimentary restaurants during the August 15 14 night Med on Anthem. Nor on 18th July sailing. The only place we saw lobster was Chops Grill but at a supplement of $21 ON TOP OF the normal $39 charge.
