Live on Edge Down Under - Mar 24 & Apr 5 - NZ and S Australia 🛳️🇦🇺🦘🇳🇿🥝🛳️
Coming soon… our adventures down under on Edge!  We booked this trip in Dec 2021 on our first cruise after the shutdown.  It’s hard to believe we are in Sydney and almost ready to set sail. First time to Australia, first time to New Zealand, and first time on Edge.  I hope to provide some insights, some laughs, and inspire you to explore new destinations.  After all, travel helps us grow a bit closer to other people, cultures, and ways of life.

It's been hard to find much information on sailing with Celestyal pre-cruise.  I thought it might be helpful to future cruisers to report from our experience.  I keep a log of our travels and hope to post the log daily or as time and internet connection allows.  Here is the pre-cruise background:

Live from Celebrity Infinity (Greece)
Our home country overwhelms us with dreary, gloomy weather – it's cold, it's dark – there are days when we have to turn on the lights from morning till evening, it's so dim... We long for a bit of warmth and a bit of light.

We quickly researched and found out that due to the route change (Israel), the Infinity is offering a very affordable tour of Greece. We haven't visited Greece by ship before – the weather there should also be pleasant – so we quickly decided that we wanted to book.

LIVE 🚢🎉🥳🍾⛵️Allure of the Seas - April 5, 2024
This trip was a super last minute decision. Mr. IT and I decided 15 nights from the cruise that we would book it. I called 14 days out and was luckily still able to get an ocean balcony. He said they only had two more available. My free casino offer was for a junior suite but those were sold out. 😞

Chasing the Perfect Fuji shot.
Yes a funny title for a cruise report but one of the things that is on my bucket list since I first started a bucket list was to photograph Mt. Fuji without it covered in cloud. We have had nearly 100 trips to Japan but am still after that shot. The first opportunity will come on the Muse when we visit Shimizu.

Greetings from the Coral Sea is we begin one of Ponant's most epic expeditions -- sixteen days circumnavigating New Guinea! And better yet, @ethan1171 is on this cruise, perhaps making this the first Cruise Critic Ponant meet-up?

Today's a day at sea, which gives me oodles of time to get caught up...

Live from the Breakaway March 17-31, 2024
Winter bumped up against spring today with blustery showers. In a moment of clear skies, the neighbour kids ran across my lawn with their Nerf guns poised and I took a moment to pause at their freedom and joy.

My own joy happens in a few days as I embark on the Breakaway for a B2B. This will be a different cruise as I am solo for the first week then have 3 friends (2 from home, 1 from Cruise Critic) joining for the second leg.

Live from the Breakaway 3/10 - 3/17
I know I’m not the only CC member doing a live from this cruise, and it won’t be as exciting as the other live cruise reports this week since we are on the ship to relax after two months of stress and interrupted sleep.
No shore excursions planned unless you consider a trip to the Mega Store in Cozumel an “excursion “

Live from Voyager, Rio to Lisbon, 19 March - 6 April 2024
As a means of putting off the task of packing my bags, I thought I'd kick off the conversation here.  Later this afternoon we'll head off to LHR where we're staying overnight before an early morning flight to Rio tomorrow, via Madrid.  There follows a couple of nights in the JW Marriott in Copacabana, Rio before boarding Voyager on Tuesday morning.  As usual, I'll aim to update my Elegant Sufficiency blog daily, internet and time permitting, and will drop in here now and again.

TxTeach79's Norwegian Sun Spring Break Shorty LIVE - 3/13/24
Well then... Hello there!!

It's time to fire up my little appetizer NCL Live for '24, a four day Bahamarama Spring Break bonanza on the ol' Sun. If you're unfamiliar, my better half @HelloItsMeB and I are sailing on a 10-day Pearl from Trieste in June, so that will be a much more substantial and (hopefully) interesting ride, but let's be honest, it's been a decade long year at work thus far, and the spring break respite couldn't be appreciated more. Soooo, if you're into the inherent and inevitable chaos of a Spring Break 4 day, this is the place!

a magnificent LIVE Review... MSC Magnifica... March 18, 2024 - March 22, 2024
Hey fellow cruisers!

I was indecisive as to whether to attempt a live a review as I'm winging it I feel like on this cruise. I booked this cruise a few months ago when I decided I wanted to try cruising solo, as well as to try cruising a new to me cruise line.

A little back information:

I've sailed on over 40 cruises between Carnival (Platinum) and Royal (Diamond+). I usually sail with either my youngest daughter or one of my cruise buddy girlfriends. I've read so many wonderful solo reviews lately it's prompted me to want to start sailing solo myself.....n

LIVE from Radiance 3/15 - St Patrick’s Cruise
Hello everyone! Figured now is a good time to start this live as I am currently sitting on a train. I also live blogged our 11-Night Regal Princess back in December, but I suspect this 3-day spring break/St Patrick’s Day cruise will be a bit of a different vibe lol. For introductions, I am Beth, I am 22 which is younger than most Cruise Critics users I realize but I’ve been cruising all my life and I really love it. I believe this is number 15? I am an Economics and Data Science Masters student (about to graduate!) and I will be cruising with my sister @kruisin_kt who is 25 and a Machine Learning PhD student. So needless to say, we are both ready for a fun weekend getaway.

LIVE from ms Rotterdam March 17-29, 2024
Some of you may have read the blog I usually write on cruises.  This time I am just going to have this "Live" thread.  I will try to update it each day provided my stamina and the onboard internet cooperate.

We fly out before dawn on Saturday morning and arrive in FLL around 9am.

Will it be Bliss? Our first NCL Post-Covid Cruise - Live!
Greetings Cruise Critic!
We're sailing on the Bliss out of LA tomorrow - 7 night Mexican Riveria - all new ports for us!  When planning, I couldn't get excited about the Caribbean or eastern Mexico cruises - we'd hit nearly all those ports a time or 5  over our two decades of cruising.  We are time limited due to college spring break so Europe was out of the question.  West coast cruise it is!

Live Review, MSC Seashore - March 14-17
Hey cruise friends!

We are leaving tomorrow for a quick 3 night cruise on the MSC Seashore out of Port Canaveral.  This is our first time on MSC, and our shortest cruise we have taken, so really looking forward to a new experience.  I saw most of the recent reviews of the Seashore was for the Yacht Club.  We are in a regular (deluxe) balcony on the 12th deck, so this will focus on the non-yacht club experience.

Hello all and welcome!

This is an almost live trip from the NCL VIVA March 10 departure. As I begin to write this intro, we are setting sail and we are in the San Juan Basin Turn departing the Pan American pier at 8:30 local. We are an experienced cruise couple from Michigan, sailing with friends for our first time as a couple on NCL.

Spring Break...away - Semi-Live from the NCL Breakaway! March 10-17, 2024
We're a family of 4 heading out on our first cruise on NCL over Spring Break.  I am 43, the wife is 41, and the kids are 13 (boy) and 12 (girl).  All of our cruising as a family of 4 has been on Carnival and my wife and I have a few other cruises on Princess.  We're looking forward to exploring what NCL has to offer!  The goal of this trip is to just get away, as a family.  Work for me has been wild this year and I have experienced some work-load led stress.  I need a week away, though I plan to check in daily and forward emails as needed.
