Got a new passport last week. The photo of me is dire. I look like I just came out of prison..., Then last night, I was informed that my drivers licence was compromised as a result of a mass data breach of my travel credit card company. Going glam myself for that photo when I go get a new licence that’s for sure. On the plus side, the blank pages of the new Australian passport are beautiful. Each page has a photo of one of our countries beautiful locations- Great Barrier Reef, Uluru, Sydney Harbour, Kakadu, Wineglass Bay Tasmania, The twelve apostles (Great Ocean Road Victoria), Bungle Bungles, The Three Sisters Katoomba, Dove Lake at Cradle Mountain, Tasmania and more…very nicely done.

@Ozark_Kid I am sorry I did not see your detailed post about your medical situation. I sincerely hope the results come back negative.

Hope this is resolved for you asap. Not suggesting this is the case for you but my friend’s husband just had a nasty experience after finding leeches on his ankles after clearing out the bush on their property. The leech “bite” travelled up his legs to his knees. He was lucky he didn’t leave the problem much longer before he was prompted to have it checked out by his GP. He is now on antibiotics and being monitored for any escalating symptoms.

I’ve heard good things about that one. If I ever manage to sit in the front of the tv anytime soon, would like to watch it.

Headed into the city after work tonight. Daylight savings ends for us this weekend so lots of people in the city making the most of the lovely weather on a Thursday evening.

@Ozark_Kid your grand daughter gets more precious with every photo ❤️ I cannot add anything to the mobility chair (the one in the photo with the adjustable height & brakes has been ideal for my dad) but can I suggest when you obtain a walking stick, not to choose one with wide prongs at the base. That design was the first choice for my dad because of the apparent stability but the OT in store cautioned us that it would be a trip hazard.

@A&L_Ont The pennies. Thank you for sharing your daughter Allie and her presence in your lives with us. My best friend who lost her daughter 3 months ago is gaining comfort from the signs through the natural world of her presence around them.

@dani negreanu Dani, I am so sorry you, your family, your neighbours and many friends have been living for many weeks with a sense of dread since the change of government and that so many of you were forced to protest in the streets to make your feelings known. Devastating that your sons and grandsons will be forced to move away from you to another country to live the life that is no longer possible in Israel. My heart breaks for you and I thank you for continuing to post here and for keeping us informed. How is your DH’s physical pain this week?

@Lionesss How wonderful that you get a whole month one on one with your gorgeous granddaughter. What a precious gift. re ants/insects - DD is currently on a home improvement binge. After he outlayed his plans - I told him he better have a long overdue termite inspection done because no use spending a tonne of money if the house is being eaten from the inside. Thankfully the report came up clear. Hope you get rid of your ants.

The wildlife park is in suburbia and the dingo enclosure backs onto a suburban home. Someone’s dog was barking and the dingos were howling in response…made the hairs on the back of your next stand up…. @Coralc I assume you are aware of the facial tumours devastating the Tasmanian Devil population? The Azaria Chamberlain case was appalling. The miscarriage of justice and the way Lindy Chamberlain (the baby’s mother) was treated & judged by the media & Australian public and this was in the time before the internet.

Can’t say a saw Renee…did take a photo of the koala roll call but I took so many koala photos that I had to go back & delete a batch including the names. Lifespan in captivity is 15 years according to wiki so she might be munching gum leaves in koala heaven right now….

We call them “bin chickens” so you were close with “garbage birds” but yes they are Ibis.
