Cruise Radio is reporting that the Edge will sail to Alaska in 2024. What do you think of the Edge doing Alaska? A friend is looking into doing in Alaska in 2024 and was looking into HAL or Princess.

We visited these ports recently on the Norwegian Jade. We experienced some delays due to the immigration experience. This is why we booked an NCL tour for the first day. It was Dead Sea and Masada. We still got to experience everything and the slight delay didn't ultimately affect our day. The next day, we had a wonderful private tour with Guided Tours Israel. It was nicer having the private tour and getting to pick what we wanted to see.

Sounds like a good plan to do the 7 day out of NY on Carnival.

We ordered continental breakfast through room service to be delivered to our room on the Jade last month. It was complimentary. We had fruit, pastries, cereal, tea and juice. It was such a pleasure to enjoy it on our balcony on a sea day. If I had a hankering for a soda or iced tea, I would pick up one from Garden Cafe or the Great Outdoors.

I am very sorry to hear that you were harassed and the subject of unwanted touching. That is very disappointing to hear that women especially younger ones have to be concerned for their safety while traveling alone on a ship.

We were on the Jade out of Athens last month. Ship holds 2400 and there was 1880 guests onboard.

I take the subway for work on a regular basis. However, not all the subway stations are accessible. There are also buses. If you can swing staying in Manhattan that would be best. Definitely, check out the East Coast departures board for hotel recommendations. We live in the area so don't usually stay at hotels. We have enjoyed the bars and restaurant at the Marriott Marquis Times Square. Make a dinner reservation at Tony DiNapoli and have some Juniors Cheesecake.

When does HAL post the Alaska 2024 Alaska cruises? Can you arrange your airfare through HAL? what precruise hotel does HAL use in Vancouver?

We are in Europe now changing planes in Rome. We wore a mask and are still wearing a mask However, there was a mother and daughter sitting a few feet away from us. Neither wore a mask and the girl coughed almost the entire time. She is obviously quite ill. She didn't even bother to cover her mouth let alone wear a mask. I pray we didnt catch anything from her.

Well, Alaska is great. We did a 7 night spring break cruise on the Harmony and didn't have a problem.

Yeah, we will be sailing late February early March timeframe.

Just curious, did you wear a mask at the airport? The reason I am asking is I have a long overnight flight coming up this week to catch my next cruise.
