  1. I had the regular Fevertree yesterday for the first time (I’ve had the elderberry one at home, but would normally use Schweppes). I had it with the Bombay Sapphire (usually drink Hendricks onboard). It was quite nice, but would have been just as happy with Schweppes. I’ve since discovered that the can of Schweppes in the minibar is soda, and not tonic, water.
  2. I had a dessert wine - it was a Sauvignon blanc. It was quite nice (notice I’m not exactly raving about the wines. Had 3!!! favourite reds on MSC). It wasn’t as sweet as Sauternes. It’s the first on the list in the photo. The Sauternes isn’t included and I don’t think any of the others are, either; just the SB.
  3. Yes - we’re loving it, thank you. I took some pics of the wine menu from Prime C. It’s an awkward one to photo so I’m going to see if there’s anything easier in the bars. Otherwise, I’ll post what I have, though they may not be great. For now, I will post the champagne page, which may be of help to you.
  4. Not a problem. I usually do live reports and try to get any info people request when possible (though I’m used to doing itineraries that repeat).
  5. So far, I’ve only tried 3. The merlot (can’t remember the brand - will get more info tonight now that we’re settling in) was good. I didn’t care for the chianti but DH liked it (the only wine he drinks - and very seldom). Had The Seekers Chardonnay today. It was reasonable, but I don’t drink much white wine. If it gives you an idea of my taste, I very much like Woodbridge Chardonnay.
  6. I’ll see if I can get a list. You have to request menus on Journey and, last night, I was only concerned with the included wines on the Ultimate package (which we upgraded to). I’ll have a look through the menu tonight when I get it.
  7. While not a tip, rather an observation from an Az newbie - everything (positive) I’ve read on here matches our experience onboard. From the food, to the service, to the friendly passengers. We’re just 24 hours onboard and are blown away.
  8. Yes, 3 bottles. For those not au fait with tonic brands, Fevertree is a superior product to Schweppes, hence why I posted the pic (was pleasantly surprised to receive it). The Royal Club in the minibar is actually soda water. I just saw the brand name and immediately assumed it was tonic. DH noticed there is Schweppes tonic in the minibar. Last night I asked what the corkage is and was told it is $15.
  9. Embarked Journey today and found the dreaded Royal Club in the minibar. I asked the butler if it was possible to have it replaced with Schweppes. Here’s what he’s left for me: 😁😁😁
  10. Will probably pick up something in Dublin airport tomorrow. 👍
  11. I totally agree. IINM, Celebrity doesn’t charge corkage if you purchase a drinks package. By using your own wine, they’re saving by you not drinking the included wines in the package.
  12. I’m probably going to do that. It’s just that I’m getting to an age where the less I have to haul around, the better. (We’re now bringing 2 cabin bags which I had no intention of doing, as well as our suitcases, due to the current airports luggage debacle 🙄).
  13. Sorry L. I’ve just reread this post which answers the question I’ve been posing (I’ve been reading so much I lose track of what’s been posted and where. 🙄) I’ve just priced some champagne in Dublin airport and reckon it’ll be cheaper to buy some there and pay the corkage (if the bottle ever makes it out of the cabin lol).
  14. I can’t seem to find any reference to it on my guest copy. The website is still advising the following:
  15. Thank you! Really looking forward to our first Azamara cruise. The suite is the icing on the cake.
  16. Thank you! We were delighted to read the news this morning.
  17. Certainly won’t be having it on an aft balcony now that we’ve won an upgrade bid on a CC. 🤪
  18. I’ve just been searching back through the threads to find copies of bar menus (trying to get prices of bottles of champagne as we’ll be celebrating an event onboard). Looks like I’ll just have to ask when we embark on Saturday - especially if Journey applies the same policy of no drinks menus about.
  19. Can anybody tell me how much a bottle of Veuve Cliquot costs onboard? Also, can anyone confirm the corkage fee being charged onboard as there seems to be some confusion surrounding an increase in same? TIA
  20. Yeah - I’ve seen videos of the White Night party. Totally agree - that is one night we do not want to miss. I agree that the cabin looks similar in size to a YC1 (on the newer ships). 👍 We’re also delighted with getting the SRs included. We already had one night as a perk (P1 cabin). Ten more nights would have cost another €600 approx. Though we wouldn’t have paid for that number of nights, we were certainly intending to dine on more than the one included night. Overall we’re chuffed with the outcome. While the strength of the bid wasn’t advised, you can see from the slider that it was a relatively low bid.
  21. Thanks, G! The larger shower and extra cabin space were a big factor in our decision to bid. My fear was that we’d get a room with a bath. Thankfully there’s a YouTube video of our exact cabin, showing the bathroom, which confirms that there is, indeed, a shower. We’ve actually nabbed an N1, which is the more expensive of the two Club Continent Suite categories (I’m presuming the only difference between the two is location - the N1s are more midship).
  22. Woke up this morning to the news that our bid has been successful. 🥳 In fact, the email was sent at 00.25 (UTC+1). So, a little more than 72 hours out. Wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it, but am actually very pleased and excited (though a little sad that we won’t have an aft balcony). So, to recap: minimum bid was €185 pp; max was €1400 pp. We bid €500 pp: It would have cost us approx €4000 more to book this category at the time of booking (it increased to over €5500 recently), so we feel we’ve done really well.
  23. It’s not currently in operation (eroller did use the term ‘currently operating’).
  24. It depends on if your itinerary includes a non-EU POC.
