  1. Hi Foxy Our only experience was the 23 night cruise on Meraviglia from New York. When we returned from Canada on the 10 night leg, the ship had to be cleared before it sailed for the 13 night repo to Miami. We had thought we could stay onboard and spent the morning in TSL (you had left earlier that morning) and were practically last off as a result 🙄. We had to wait in the terminal for re-embarkation, but we had a cruisecard that covered the whole 23 nights, so we never had to do another check-in. They insisted onboard that we were on a B2B and we received 2 lots of VC perks because of it.
  2. Our account wasn’t settled until the day of disembarkation.
  3. I can’t remove the number from the url. The link will open a page with my CC number showing
  4. Personally we don’t believe YC is worth the increased prices - especially with the Experience being downgraded. Food offerings in the restaurant leave a lot to be desired (and I’m happy as long as there’s something I can eat!). I do love the enclave set-up, though, where you never have to venture outside unless you want to (except, of course, on Fantasia-class, due to the restaurants’ locations).
  5. I can’t post the link without it including my CC number.
  6. I’ve just received the latest PUP email. Anyone got the answers?? 🤣🤣🤣
  7. I’m just making the point that I believe it should be included. I wasn’t asking if it was. In Yacht Club, on MSC, you can order drinks to the cabin without charge. (Up until recently, minibar, with miniatures and beer, was included; that’s been changed to a litre of alcohol of your choice, plus soft drinks and water from the minibar).
  8. We’ve had a suite on a 14 night cruise on X before.
  9. Apparently their suites sell out (and, of course, many do the Move-up bidding, freeing up a lot of cabins in steerage). I don’t think the infinity cabins on Edge class are popular, either, and most of the balconies are just that. TBH, DH and I have just been discussing the fact that we don’t need the Retreat on X. We’ve booked it for September and will maybe only dine in their suite restaurant on one night 🙄. We’re not ones for hanging out all day on the pool deck, so we probably won’t even use the Retreat one much. Only reason we booked a suite was because it’s our anniversary - and we got a good price at the time of booking, with some nice perks.
  10. Seems ridiculous that the minibar isn’t included. Thought the whole idea of a suite is an upgraded experience with elevated service. I personally don’t enjoy carrying drinks back to the cabin from the ship’s bars. 😔
  11. Thanks - thankfully I am (at least I’m hoping to not have another attack. We’re in an aft cabin next month for 11 nights. Not sure that the vibrations won’t trigger another one. 😱🤪).
  12. 🤣. Hi J. Was so sorry to not do Seashore in March. Got a real bad attack of vertigo and had to cancel.
  13. When those same Celebrity snobs could no longer afford X’s inflated prices lol (says she who is jumping from MSC to Azamara and X due to the downgrading of the YC experience).
  14. Looks like we’ll be on the same cruise (Sept 3rd - you must be flying out on the 1st). Thankfully we have a direct flight booked for this cruise. (The one through Schiphol is for an Azamara cruise in 2 weeks’ time).
  15. We’ve transferred through Schiphol on very tight slots many times without incident. Our favourite airport to transfer in. These times are an aberration. Many airports are experiencing similar problems.
  16. Our flights were booked with Azamara - not Celebrity. Sorry if I’ve caused any confusion. I was just responding to the general topic of transferring in Schiphol.
  17. We, too, bought the whole package with the cruise line, which has worked out really well, so far, for us, as our embarkation port was changed from Genoa to Nice. We were able to get the flights changed without extra cost (Azamara was going to bus us from Genoa to Nice - a 2 1/2 bus journey after 2 flights - no thanks!). Originally we were going to organise our own flights and would have booked direct to Milan. Travel is now becoming a very risky business, indeed.
  18. We’re in a similar situation. Flying from Dublin to Nice via Schiphol for an Azamara cruise in two weeks’ time with KLM. We have 55 minutes between flights. I discussed this with our TA as we’d considered booking a direct flight the day beforehand and staying overnight in Nice. He’s of the opinion that there’s no need as there are plenty of options available, including Air France, as they’re a sister company of KLM. Worst case scenario is we miss the ship and embark at the next port (for which we won’t incur any costs). We’re now bringing a cabin bag each with enough clothes to get us by for a couple of days should our luggage not make it. I’m refusing to get stressed about a situation that might not arise, but should it, stressing won’t change anything.
  19. When it’s a sailing from the US and the ship returns to the embarkation port, it has to be cleared. So a 14 night, which returns to the embarkation port after 7 nights, gets treated as 2 seven night cruises, even when there is only one booking number. (It’s a similar situation for the 10 night cruises which return mid-itinerary, too).
  20. That is good to know as DH drinks Carlsberg. Thank you! 🙏
