  1. Totally agree! Anything more than 7 night cruises are really only B2Bs coming back to the embarkation port after 7 nights, before heading out again. Their Caribbean cruises, for that reason, are extremely boring. Wish they’d do proper, longer, Caribbean cruises to the ABC islands, for example.
  2. We had that package on NCL in September - don’t remember those being included. Probably weren’t aware, otherwise we would certainly have partaken of one or two glasses. 😆
  3. The only time we’ve ever seen Veuve and Möet included in a package was in the PremiumPlus package on MSC ( which, unfortunately, has been discontinued). It was the very best value package ever available at sea.
  4. That’s good to know cos we did a 14 night in a Sky Suite on Millennium (in 2016 in Asia) and thought we’d never sail X again. We’re giving them another try (again in an SS) on Edge and are hoping for a much better experience.
  5. Just checked and mine has been added, too.
  6. Do suite guests have free access to the thermal suite?
  7. Ours is still pending for an August 6th cruise. Not optimistic about it, though, as we’ve put in a low bid.
  8. Hope you receive the same service on NCL that we did. The wine waiter was Prince - by name and by nature. 😁
  9. A great suggestion, Ivi. However, the ‘Florence on your own’ will probably be more than enough for us (for DH, anyway🙄) as we’ve been before (as well as Pisa). This cruise has a lot of POCs we haven’t been to before so are expecting it to be more hectic than we’re used to. We’ve been to many Med ports several times so that the ship is usually our destination. Don’t know that we’ll have the energy for this cruise 🤣 - especially if the heatwave in Europe continues. 🥵
  10. Sorry - I’ve just seen your post now. Appreciate the suggestion. Cycling would be out (knee problems 🙄) but it looks like a very nice place to take a leisurely walk around. We’re not great at using public transport in POCs at the best of times, but reckon Lucca is very doable.
  11. So B2B. We’re disembarking in Ravenna. We’re on a Greek cruise on Celebrity Edge 2 weeks later from Rome. This is our first Az cruise. So far, we’ve been very impressed with Azamara’s customer service, from increasing the included Shore Excursion credit from $500 to $1000 when they upped it in a promotion, to changing our flights to the new embarkation port without charge and now refunding us for the transfer from Ravenna to Venice, despite us booking after the disembarkation port had been changed (which is why we had to pay for the transfer, originally). Plus, they’re offering $300 FCC for the embarkation port change (though I do feel that should be OBC).
  12. Thank you! I was thinking along those lines. I believe you’ll be on the same cruise.
  13. Can I ask how the air-conditioning was, in the dining areas in particular, on your sailing? I generally find it very cold in the restaurants on most ships and am trying to plan suitable attire for our Italy cruise next month, when the weather is going to be very hot. PS. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences of your cruise.
  14. My least favourite in the tin of USA (just to confuse our American friends - for a change😁).
  15. Had PremiumPlus on NCL last October. Not only did they give you the bottle, but a wine waiter in a speciality restaurant told me to request that it be decanted each time as I was entitled to that service due to having the package. Said there were only 4 on the cruise who had the package (don’t know if that was 4 cabins or just 4 people).
  16. I had to Google rutabaga only to find that it’s the humble turnip. It’s a popular veg here in Ireland and we’d never add sugar to it.
  17. Don’t all us Irish do that?? 🤣🤣 Back in the day, my mother used to pack rashers and sausages, too, when going self-catering. 🙄
  18. Unfortunately AzAmazing Night won’t have been reinstated by the time we sail so we will do our best to enjoy a similar evening with the four ladies - Enchanting Tuscany.
  19. Hi Ivi - I remember your report about that! I also took note of your experience walking around Livorno and may follow in your footsteps if we decide to explore the town. We’ll visit Florence on the first day and have been to Pisa before so will probably give that a miss. We’re considering a trip to Lucca on the second day as we haven’t been. If we do go to Lucca for the morning and aren’t too tired afterwards ( expecting it to be very hot in August 🥵) we might spend a little time walking around Livorno.
  20. I wonder if this has anything to do with the discounted rate of the Always Included package - meaning that the per diem rate is less than what a Classic package would normally cost - with the discount being greater on a longer cruise. 🤔
  21. Perhaps tomorrow, seeing as it only appeared today on mine (I think, anyway - didn’t see it before now). I say this because you’re embarking the day after us. I’m sure there will be something on your sailing, too.
  22. Finally found it - it’s a Destination Celebration - Enchanting Tuscany 👏
