  1. What was the per day cost? Thank for reporting this info.
  2. ORV

    Brazilian VISA

Good luck the VFS Evisa site is truly horrible.
  3. Well let's see, Celebrity had a Creperie and it was good, but it didn't go over so they took it out. Their gelato dipper stands there without a lot to do, until Captain Club members come by and get their free scoop. Neither of these have gone over well on Celebrity. On the other hand they charge/charged for both of them. I'm sure it will be included on Oceania.
  4. It might help if you quoted the post you're replying to.
  5. Interesting, as the link to the menu posted above from Mike Preisman's site clearly shows the cost plus 20% gratuity added.
  6. As you see above they are asking about other drinks besides Martinis. Did you have 2 4 1's of any thing beside Martinis?
  7. Yeah, Mike is the go to guy for reviews. Anytime I'm going to an area I haven't been to before I always check to see if he has a review of that itinerary or one similar. Always great recommendations for guides and things to do. And he's a pretty fun guy to hang around with.
  8. Historically gratuities have been an additional charge for the La Reserve meal.
  9. That sounds like a recipe for a kill off of that program. Has anyone that has been on Vista notice what they refer to it as. Do they still you La Reserve or do they call it a Wine Pairing Dinner or something along those lines
  10. Yes, the Humidor lounge on the Silversea ship we went on 20 years ago was a great cigar smoking area. Exactly like Gary described, with a dedicated waiter and a nice selection of single malts and a well stocked humidor to buy cigars from. I've quit, but I do miss them. I know a lot of people hate them and the smell of cigar smoke, but I got a great deal of pleasure and relaxation from them.
  11. Did not know that, that's a change.
  12. Yeah, you might be smoking them there but it is clearly mentioned in various places that the only place to smoke cigars and pipes is the smoking area on the pool deck, don't know about Vista but the other ships it's starboard corner. I miss them.
  13. This was never the case before. I'll check it out.
  14. Well, think about that for a little bit.
  15. Heavy meal, flying or in an airport most of the next day, a few glasses of wine, have to be up by 6 or earlier to get ready to be out of room by 8. What are you not understanding? I think they call it basic biology.
  16. I always tell people my mind is like a colander, everything just runs right through it.
  17. It depends on what you prefer, but generally Polo is a pretty heavy meal. I also like a couple of glasses of wine with a steak, so I prefer to not eat there the day before disembarkation. As far as I can tell Polo & Toscana are about the same size.
  18. We talked about this before, I can't believe you don't remember🤠LOL We board 1/21 and get off on 2/14. I leave a week from today. Thankfully they postponed that Brazil Evisa, because I still don't have mine.
  19. This is interesting. I'll be on the Marina in a couple of weeks and see for myself. In all fairness, experiences prior to Jan 1 of this year may not reflect a recent change. While I don't like what I'm seeing I don't doubt it. Easy way to cut cost. I think we should be thankful that there is still an open bar on Captain's Welcome night. I do hate to see the Oceania product we've been used to being watered down.
  20. I have no personal experience with this and hope not to, but from things I've read on Cruise Critic I was under the impression that evacuation from a ship was generally a (free?)service of the respective countries Coast Guard or whatever they call them in each country. Is this not always correct? Sorry for the nightmare you're going through. Was this trip insurance you bought through Oceania?
  21. That depends on whether it's a Ralph Lauren brand or not.
  22. You seem to take every chance you get to take a dig at Oceania. Why don't you save yourself some time and grief and cancel your cruise with them. If you go with the attitude of trying to find everything wrong that you can then you will. Just go on a cruise line that you know you'll be happy with.
  23. You know there's no point in trying to explain things to some people. Yes, it shouldn't happen, yes no one should be wasting their vacation time straightening out things that shouldn't be messed up. BUT, I always take printed and electronic versions of excursions, dinner reservations, OBC, insurance particulars, Terms & Conditions contract flight & hotel reservations etc. I don't depend on company's systems to always get it right. It's actually getting more and more prevalent that mistakes are made.
  24. At the rate mine is going I'm not sure I'd have them by then. Glad I don't need them.
