Thanks peanut head .. if you have the chance do it .. the best meal we had on Edge when we last sailed and probably one of the best private dining meals ever on a large ship.

Maybe just stay on Jost or ferry from the USVI directly to Jost (no need to ferry to Tortola to go to Jost) currently operating 3 days per week

Do you know the approx price of the tickets available through SeaDream?

So, I just got off SDI on Sunday and spoke to a crew member about the welfare fund and was told that it can be distributed weekly or they will keep for an event. Basically he said that if you gave (for example) $100 to the fund then each crew member would get $1 in their next payroll ... we chose to give to each crew member that made our sail extra special. Hope this helps

All tips are included but they have a "Crew Welfare Fund" that we donate to. You just leave the envelope at the front desk or I think they can add to your bill (not sure about that) and this way the money benefits everyone including those who work so hard behind the scenes that you never see.

I know "extra" is subjective but in what ball park (should we find exceptional service) would you say would be a nice amount on an 11 day sail? .. are you talking $20, $50, $100? Thank you for any suggestions.

You will love it (we will be on SDI on March 18th and SDII on April 8th) and the food is beyond amazing but I do remember the banana pancakes for breakfast - I didn't discover them until the last day on our first cruise which is a good thing or I would have put on more than the 5lbs I did that week LOL. Have a blast
