  1. Only very few supermarkets have a liquor lisence. Bottle shop is the best bet, though many are owned by the supermarket chains and close by.
  2. Yumm I’m always ready for baked beans on toast, except trying to keep my carbs down so having withdrawals.
  3. Since having to retire (again) my everything fund is empty. I keep saying to herself “We really must remember to win lotto this week.
  4. Fortunately doubt we will ever need to worry about $54k cruises.
  5. Just one reason we love smaller ships, on the other hand pricing is a reason to dislike them.
  6. All I will say is that I have eaten a few Scons on Scone
  7. We hav3 had OBC ranging from $0 to about $1500, cruises ranging from 2 nights to 33 nights, each a mid or a cabin or two off mid, balcony. There really doesn’t appear to be any logic too it, I guess Princess offer what they need to sail close to capacity
  8. The pro is not spending hours in a car or at an airport, the usual pro is not having to pack and unpack every day or so. The Con is you miss some of the best bits, the small towns, the country bits most cruises principle stop in cities.
  9. I could do 3 or 4 circumnavigations with other lines, so hmmmmm???
  10. And numerous more around the Hilton, a few at Town Hall arcade.
  11. There is the Australian Wine Emporium near MONA which is about a 5 min walk from the Overseas Passenger Terminal
  12. Yes, but how many can say they have used “Ut’s the vibe of the thing” in Court and had the Judge agree
  13. I started with Canon match needle metering, but then have used almost every 35mm brand for one reason or another and then a fair few 6x6. Even now I mainly shoot manual or AE. Took a long time to even go auto focus it was only failing eyes that eventually decided me. Took up digital daily early but still shot a lot of film.
  14. They really are pretty good, trying hard to cut back on carbs, so while the spud doesn’t help the lack of pastry is a plus,
  15. Isn’t that how it should be, but if you look back at the start of this thread the question was dealt with in the first page.
  16. Yeah just discovered cans of Caramel by Nestle rather than needing to boil a tin of condensed milk and spending a week cleaning the ceilings
  17. I advise most to think about a night, or a couple of nights even, in Hawaii
  18. So…. Yesterday was Lamington day, today is approximation of pie day (22/7) they really would be better on the same day.
  19. Plus perhaps a night or two on the way. While I have driven it in one go, you won’t see much that way.
  20. So much depends on your personal interests. I guess there is more to see and do in Sydney or Melbourne, but plenty to fill 3 days around Brissy too, again depending on what you want to do. And remember you will use a pretty good chunk of a day moving between cities, between getting too and from airports and wait8ng around after check in
  21. If you don’t have an accessible cabin the scooter would need to be a smaller model. I have often transferred from my powerchair to a seat in the MDR and the crew or Mrs Gut park it out of the way. Some crew seem to enjoy going for a ride.
  22. Yep a bit like the death of film, or even the near death of medium format, it will be missed by some, but a small percentage I expect.
  23. We have a stack, but Mrs Gut uses one a day during school term.
  24. That will most likely be very hot (40c not unusual) so you may need to limit your walking a bit
