Great to hear Uncle Les, was getting a tad worried.

Sure am. Or was.

I expect some will still be there, others will have moved on, or simply decided to give it away, for many it is a part time gig for interest and “pocket money”. Some will have found another source, others may decide they don’t want to early start, but then there’ll be other like gbenjo who can’t wait to get back at it, (and I’m 1000% his dear wife is looking forward to getting rid of him all day again).

We sail mid ship balcony, sweet spot used to be $200pp pn, now creeping up about $250. But a few years ago, strewth must be near on 5, we did a two night get away on Celebrity Solstice, the night before the cruise in a Sydney Hotel, diner and breakfast cost more than the cruise.

Doable is a moveable feast. But for me 7 pairs of undies, pants I’m wearing on the day I board, one or two extra, tops the same, shoes, thongs. Stuff I can layer is always a plus for questionable weather, so T shirt, Shirt and heavier overshirt (denim is my pick) each can be worn by itself of layered. You can cut back if you want to pend time washing. Can each person manage their own carry on?

Yep Century, first time I actually got to meet you in person, also our first cruise after about 7 year break. We were a bit hesitant about both the size of the ship and Celebrity but it was a great cruise.

Forgot to add a visit to Bondi Beach on Christmas Day is interesting.

A lot of things will be closed 25 26 December, if you mean this year, Christmas Day is Sunday so Tuesday 27th will also be a public holiday, but most things will be open . Zoo will close Christmas Day but open the others, public transport will have a changed timetable but still be running. You might want to book somewhere for Christmas Lunch as soon as you decide as they tend to book out pretty quick. Most shops will only close CHRISTMAS day, Boxing Day has big sales, and the major stores will be busy,

Not sure you can really do it all in one day and do it thoroughly we have been there probably 10 or 12 times and find something new each visit

Some great Princess deals in September. Under $200 pp pd for balcony, Bit soon for me.

I don’t care what they call it, I don’t like it. I paid for a cruise that advertises for service, room cleaning etc and expect it all to be included in the price I am paying not some additional near enough to compulsory costs. So glad they did away with it on ships sailing here. And first cruise it was never mentioned anywhere that between us we would be hit for an extra couple of hundred bucks once on board.

At least a train could be express, Central, Hornsby, maybe Gosford, Newcastle and to date Explorer of the Seas is the biggest cruise ship into Newcastle I think
