    Whereas I live in hope that they will drop that Beringer stuff in favour of some decent dry rose like Whispering Angel...but I know I live in a fantasy land!! So long as they don't get rid of the Chandon I'm good! I now get 3x bottles of that.

    The full transcript of yet another email just sent by MSC to guests on 28/12 has just been posted on the face site for this ship... implies that the Saudis are not accepting the manifest list that other ports accept with ease, but I get the feeling they are still trying to work it out.

    @Lisichka - we need the full visa as we are going to Saudi for a few days post cruise to visit friends. For the once in a lifetime opportunity to visit such an unexplored country the cost is immaterial to us. You also need a visa to enter Bahrain if the ship is going there instead but that is only about €20pp

    Bought full year visa for DH 2 days ago. Issued immediately - literally within a minute. Cost was £115 as fx rate has come down a bit. 534.98 SAR is $142.66 If they are, as reported today, pulling Damman and replacing it with Bahrain, and you have already bought your Saudi visa they are issuing a refund of $22 as refundable obc onboard.

    If you look to book 12/24 departure from Dubai on MSC UK site it still shows Damman as the port call on 12/28…🤷‍♀️

    I have been to SBY once before with another cruise line, and did a “Safari”. I remember an unremarkable not very sandy beach! What is the YC set up like on the island please - any recent visitors? Food/ drink/ loungers etc? Thanks 🙏

    Great attentive DL hostess who goes around every table. The overspill is into the VCL so you get quicker service if you sit at the bar.

    We are in Hobart overnight, thinking of hiring a car day one and driving out to countryside (Ross?) and the next day staying in town. Wineries and photography are our interests. Sadly the art gallery is closed the day we are there. Recommendations welcomed - esp for what car hire company is best to use closest to port? thanks

    Brand new MSC ship from Dubai in January - as RCI have abandoned their Dubai departures for the Europeans in search of some winter sun 🤷‍♀️

    Disembarking from a cruise to NZ ( from Sydney so round trip) and need to get to Singapore that day. Are you saying the 2pm flight is risky ? thanks

    On the older ships with those PITA hangers that aren’t actually coat hangers ( like anyone would actually steal those things) I would prefer to pack myself rather than going through the hassle of trying to clip them back in!!!

    I know they cannot serve alcohol whilst in Saudi waters… but how would they stop you having a drink on your balcony? #askingforafriend

    I am in YC on Europa next month and my tickets say SCUI17 - SERVICE CHARGE - GRATUITIES are included in the cruise fare ( on pg 10)

    I’ve always packed myself on b2b. Twice I’ve moved my own suitcases and once I let them do it. I’ve never been told to leave the clothes on hangers.
