  1. If you go to www.cruisedeckplans.com, it shows the current configuration with 10171 as an inside cabin.
  2. Bioluminescence in wavetops, perhaps?
  3. I have seen vidIeos of the cruise terminal area in Papeete that refers to shops and vendors across the road. Are their shops that sell wine? I would like to buy several bottles to take on board. Our ship departs at midnight, we arrive at 6:30 p.m. to board. Will shops be open do you think?
  4. Full disclosure - it's Air Tahiti Nui from LAX to PPT, it's a charter as the flight number is not a published number. Logistically, NCL has to get a large number of people to Tahiti to get on the boat, so I they probably have a standard charter agreement with TN. Some are already on the island, some are back to backs already on the boat, but there are certainly 280 or so people remaining to fill up a 787. As they control the seats, they can dole them out however they wish. My point was that in 2020, the upgrade was a flat price, now NCL has figured out how to wrangle a few more bucks out of me.
  5. Same thing here, the April 2020 cruise for this same itinerary, Tahiti to Hawaii, I paid $249pp for a seat upgrade. Of course the cruise was cancelled. This upgrade offer bid started at $260pp and went up from there. We are finally getting to take this cruise on the third try - knock on wood!
  6. Yes, definitely from NCL. Email address is ncl.com and link takes you to an ncl.com hosted page. Unmistakenly NCL.
  7. NCL doesn't miss a trick when it comes to getting the last nickel out of you. I have an 11/14 cruise, with NCL air included, so we are at day 31 and expecting flight arrangement any minute now. Today, I got an e-mail from NCL Air asking me to bid on a seat upgrade offer on the flight - identical to a cabin upgrade offer. And, of course, they will let you know if your offer is accepted. Two years ago when we expected to go on this same cruise, the seat upgrade was just a flat price to go from economy to premium economy. This is an 8 hour plus flight so I think it is money well spent.
  8. We got ours today for an 11/14 departure. 33 days out.
  9. They will find the most cost effective way to get you from point "A" to point "b". They dont care what time, length of layover or no layover. If you are going to request a change in anything, before or after you MUST do so prior to 75 days out for they will not even consider a change after that point.
  10. Well Im down big, but hey I got my $100 OBC.....maybe I'll get lucky in the casino!
  11. We are on the Spirit 11/14 to 11/26 Tahiti to Hawaii. Glad to hear she is on the way to start that series of itineraries. Would love to hear anything about the Thermal Suite. The food, of course, and the specialty restaurants. Have a great cruise!
  12. SInce I have an 11/14 cruise, this will come in handy.
  13. Your post reminded me to file mine for my 11/14 cruise. I did and got the confirmation within 36 hours. Thanks for the heads up, sorry you didn't get yours.
  14. I don't think you get the butler in the Club Balcony or breakfast and lunch in the specialty restaurant.
  15. We had kids in an inside and us in a Balcony and it was not an issue getting access.
  16. i'm a guitar player and wouldn't dream of taking any of mine. Hopefully you won't be my balconymate on my next cruise.....no offense, but you may not like what i like and vice versa. Even the poster refers to "her music" and alludes to it not being that great....."that's just who she is".
  17. A "free" perk that you need to pay - in my case - on a 12 day cruise almost $500 additional dollars to take advantage of. Kind of a good news/bad news thing.
  18. It is safer to do a 180, with 360 degree visibility than to do a blind backing maneuver and risk hitting something or getting out the channel.
  19. We are on Spirit in mid-november, Tahiti to Hawaii. I haven't been on, but I saw a youtube video. Thermal suite is very small, I don't think it has a heated pool or hot tub. There are some rain shower type stalls, but no pool in the thermal area, it doesn't appear.
  20. I guess you would have to drink six premium G&T's day, every day at the $5 upcharge to make it worth the $29 a day upgrade cost.
  21. We are on a NCL cruise in November which includes Moorea, Bora Bora and Riatea (sp?). If we opt not to do an excursion, is it easy to get transport to and from the public beaches? Are the beaches safe? Is there food and drink available near the beaches? Any info regarding going and hanging out at the beaches is welcome. I've seen the posts about the non-cruise excursions and that is an option as well. Thanks to all!
  22. It was added to my cruise on Spirit. At Starbucks, I only drink a regular grande or vente coffee, no specialties. How much is a grande Pike Place onboard?
  23. We're on it November 14th Tahiti to Hawaii, 10008, I believe. Third try at this cruise.
  24. I'm booked on a cruise on Spirit with a category SH, formerly the Club Suite, I think. I just got an upgrade offer to an Aft facing owners suite. I have watched the video and read the FAQ's. I just want to hear it from all of you. The amount I bid is for the entire cruise, per person, not per night. I know it says that very clearly, but... So if I bid $500, then I will pay $500 times 2 or $1,000, plus taxes and add ons. I just want to be sure I don't want to get accepted and get charged $12,000 or something crazy!!! This is my third try for this cruise and it's been paid for for three years, so I figure why not throw a few more bucks at it and really enjoy ourselves. Thanks, guys.
