  1. If you want to change anything, make sure you do it prior to the 75 day cutoff as they will not discuss anything inside of 75 days.
  2. You still have to pay gratuities on the drink package and the free wifi doesn't work that well, so you have to upgrade that. The airfare is sometimes a good deal, but you have to take what they book for you. For us we did the airfare from US to Tahiti and back from Hawaii on a tahiti to hawaii cruise for basically $999 for two of us which is a steal in anybody's book. We did not have any problems, but others get redeyes or problems with seat selections or long layovers or last minute arrivals before embarkation, so you just have to be careful. On shorter routes, you can probably do better with more selection yourself.
  3. I see national TV shows with horrid spelling and grammatical errors. It's amazing. When I see those errors, it makes me question the content!
  4. We were in a Spirit suite last November and throughly enjoyed it. Our butler was outstanding, the suite conceierge attended to everything we needed. Other than the bartenders at the Spice H2O area - I forget the name of that aft bar overlooking Spice H2O - the crew was outstanding. In that bar the bartenders acted like they were doing you a favor.
  5. I'm a 40 year senior manager with a major hotel company. Write the Celebrity CEO and I assure you good things will happen for the crewmember. Associates going great things for guests will get a lot of attention and reinforcement.
  6. The person that spent 45 years making the family inheritance and getting three great kids off the payroll is going to do whatever we (me and DW) want with it!! And you're right. One suite cruise is not enough! Tahiti-Hawaii last November and Alaska on Millie in 55 or so days!
  7. @dateacher is right. It's very easy to get used to. Upgraded linens and bedding. An extra bit of service and a concierge that can make things happen when needed. We are on Millie 8/4 and eagerly awaiting it.
  8. I could see all of my details, excursions and restaurant bookingsv even prior to final payment. There is not a detailed invoice, though, that comes in e-mails.
  9. You will love H2O. Ask for Rudpolph for your boat captain! He was marvelous and made sure we got to all the great locations before the giant tourist boats. We used them in November 2022.
  10. We loved it on Spirit, 12 days. 4 days in Tahiti, 4 at sea and 4 in Hawaii. Bora Bora is simply stunning in person.
  11. We have the same situation on our 8/11 flight out, same 8:30 pm flight.
  12. I'm on the 8/4 sailing which gets to Seward 8/11. X is selling a train excursion that leaves Sewatd at 7:00 a.m. and arrives at the the airport about 1:00 pm. I booked it and it was accepted. I also have a bus booked which I will keep for a few more weeks before canceling that.
  13. Well, it didn't rain on us in Tahiti, but we got to sit in the stuffy humid tender longer than anyone else! And departing, we got to sit in the rolling, pitching tender longer than anyone! In the end, we all got to shore and back to the boat at the same time. Of all the suite amenities and perks, that was probably the least important to me. For me, having really great bedding and an incredible shower was the best.
  14. On Spirit last November, our Cabin Steward, Butler and Concierge were excellent and seemingly ever present. Spirit does not have a "Haven" area but we saw and spoke to the Concierge daily in Cagneys and at shows in the evening. I agree the priority tender boarding is a bit cringy and I'm sure there is some muttering going on. Our experience on Spirit was wonderful and the staff was outstanding. It's unfortunate that your experience didn't meet your expectatiions or standards.
  15. Now all we need is another Manu and Tony. And possibly, a coach.
  16. To each his own. That's the great thing about cruising. You can do your thing and I can do mine on the same ship!
  17. You might feel guilty getting priority tendering and boarding and reserved seating in the shows, but at the same time, it's kind of nice too. Breakfast in Cagney's is great. Priority tendering means you get to sit in a hot fiberglass tube longer than other people so it's a double edge sword. I loved the bedding in our suite and the bathroom with separate shower was very nice! The big problem with the Haven is that it's really hard to go back! Relax and enjoy it. You'll meet some really nice people, too. Most people are not snobs, just people that worked all their lives and now want to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
  18. Sad to say, but in today's enterpise accounting world, human beings see very little but the exceptions and then often only the big ones. The computer does 98% of the administration without human intervention. On a cost per transaction basis, humans are infinitely more expensive that computer software. Long gone are the days of hundreds of bookkeepers in green eyeshades furiously recording things in giant ledger books. Repetitive tasks are outsourced and off-shored. AI "bots" review accounts and invoices. The computer sees a balance due according to its' logic and the e-mail goes out. How do you write a program that factors in "the customer thinks they paid in full". Unfortunate - particularly when you are in the customer service business, but that's the world today. Not excusing anything, but you have to reduce costs in order to offer a good product at a semi-reasonable price and payroll is typically one of the largest if not the largest cost in a business. I am in a worldwide customer service business that faces these same sorts of challenges. Combine this with labor availability and declining skillsets in the available labor force. Long answer to a seemingly simple problem, I know.
  19. I woud find that hard to believe as those are more or less your "go to" volume desserts with minimal prep time. I'm in the hotel business and I would be shocked if they cook cheesecakes on board. You load in 50 cases from Sara Lee and move on. One day, you put strawberrys on it, the next day blueberries, and so on. From a cost standoint, I would drop creme brulee before I dropped cheesecake, because creme brulee requires a bit of prep for each portion.
  20. Realize that with the beverage packages, you must pay additional gratuities on the beverage package, so its not exactly "free at sea".
  21. In the end, you're taking off for a week to eat great food, see great scenery have great experiences, have your whims catered to for the most part, sounds pretty good to me.
  22. I wandered the same as the coverage map seems to end at Alaska.
  23. Yes, you pay your money and you take what you get. Not unlike other cruise company air departments I am finding out. If you want any changes or anything non-standard, you must request it at least 75 days in advNCE. Nothing and I mean nothing will be considered after 75 days out.
