Most of the time the Lounge is very quite. Too quite for our tastes---and we have seen very little entitlement in the Lounge, so I would not worry. On our last 14 day trip the MDR head waiter would NOT give us a Club Orange menu----lol. No kidding. We were told point blank that Neptune Suite guests do not have this benefit. Took this issue to the concierge and they solved the problem. It was uncomfortable for all. But this is an example of how it can work and no this is not "entitlement."

We have always had very limited ability to send much of anything off of HAL WiFi. Let alone many photos.

Jeeze, some of you people are just too harsh. Yes, we have had BAD food on HAL and BAD service also. It happens.

And your boarding group on that boarding pass with the bar code may still show a later Group time. You can still board with the first Boarding Group A if you wish.

We were on the Zaandam earlier this year through the Panama Canal. This Feb going on her again to the Amazon. As you may know, the Zaandam is currently on a Grand Voyage to South America---including the Amazon. So we will be getting a lot of info......

Yes, they replaced the TV's with new and "interactive" system---just like the other ships.

Some of the bathrooms are dated. Even the Neptune Suites have small bathrooms---but nice dressing rooms. The overall condition of the ship is good. But yes, some things are dated just due to when it was built....not due to wear and tear, rather old school. Which also has it's charm.

We bought CPP for our upcoming trip, which was paid in full at time of booking. We are now considering the purchase of the HIA package. HAL will add the CPP premium to that purchase. Note: any single component of HIA can be purchased prior to sailing, without incurring CPP costs and includes the option to cancel within a certain timeframe for a full refund. To quote the HAL agent: "HIA is considered to be part of the cruise fare".

Every time I try a simple search on CC with the AND Seach term CC just times out. Am I missing something?

So we are doing the Zaandam to the Amazon in February. Does your trip show any excursions for Devils Island or Macapa??? For our trip HAL shows none.... Thanks!

Casino drinks are only supposed to be had only WHILE playing. You usually cannot get them at the casino bar, for example. The bar tenders do come around....sometimes not very often...

Well, I guess it is just more fun that way, lol. Another one: when you have access to a hotel Club Lounge, etc---Loungers!!!!!

We have a bunch of names for drinks that travel. At a resort---walkers. On a plane---flyers---on a ship---Sailers. BUT they all have to be "FREE" or it does not count. We also have many more names.
