  1. If you have actually purchased the excursion you can delete it from your Order History (dropdown from your account icon upper right corner of the page). If you used a credit card it can take a week or 10 days to get money back. OBC comes back almost immediately.
  2. It is possible to buy a 4 device package precruise (or onboard) with a price per device much less than buying four packages separately. People have been known to arrange this on their Roll Call. Disadvantage of this is that if someone accidently logs on a second device you will get logged off. Check this weekend for sales. Biggest sale of the year for internet is generally around Thanksgiving. Or you may be able to bundle a drink package with internet for lower price.
  3. Costa Maya has lots of beach bars and usually high waves and seaweed. Maya Chan is better option if you like beach bars since it is outside of town. Ruins are great but minimum of 1 1/2 hours from the port on a dead straight road. Take a private tour by van. In Belize, Altun Ha is very close to the port (20 minute tender ride). Ruins are spectacular, especially if you take a tour that gets there before the ship tours.
  4. If you can't buy excursions now with your credit it is not from the booking, stockholder or military. These types appear before the cruise. Other types don't show up in your account until day 2 onboard.
  5. Just went to both on Celebrity. No passport required for Barbados. Passengers without passports were not allowed off the ship in Martinique.
  6. Yes. Log on, go to the Booked Guests tab, and select Cruise Personalizer or use this link to log on: https://book.princess.com/cruisepersonalizer/index.page Works for most things for the cruise except dining. For that you need the web-based version of the medallion. Log in, go to Booking Summary (first tab of Personalizer). Halfway down page is "Check-In with Medallion Class app". Right under the two links to the app stores is a "Try our web version" link. It is MUCH easier to enter data on the browser link than on a phone (although passport entry on phone is done by scanning your passport info page).
  7. No shady spots either. They added a bunch of cabanas on this ship.
  8. Would recommend the aquarium - we did this on a Celebrity cruise. Has shows and tanks like most but also lets you snorkel in one tank. Shark show is neat. You can feed the birds in the aviary (guides there can be tipped if you like). Shows and dolphin encounters can be watched from platforms or grandstand. Plus a pretty nice beach with free umbrellas/loungers.
  9. Just almost left a guy on the beach on Nevis. We were told a 1:15 return time and were on a large bright yellow catamaran. He was off buying a T shirt down the beach and came running back when we were heading out. Late getting back from excursion by 15 minutes and got to ship 2 minutes before all aboard on Equinox (most folks on excursion were behind us). First time I have seen cat excursion that didn't do a head count after snorkeling or beach.
  10. Have never seen a rope ladder on a cruise ship. Pilot boat just matches up to door on ship and pilot steps across when timing is right. Still a scary move, though.
  11. You keep saying you will have cell service in port. That is highly dependent on provider and what type of international plan you might have (and phone capability as well). Last trip to Caribbean our phones would not even connect through local Wifi for voice and texting. Worked fine for email and would probably have worked for WhatsApp.
  12. The easiest way is on the app - go to your info page and select select a different cruise. At the bottom is the option to select ships. Select the ship you are interested in and then a current or next cruise. This displays the actual schedule for everything on that sailing. Of course only works if there is a ship doing the route you are interested in currently. Note that you don't have to be booked on these cruises to see what is happening on a ship or excursions. We have been able to book most excursions a year in advance through the web. Shorter cruises may not be available that early. They do load excursions in blocks for several ships and time windows.
  13. If you log on to your account and cruise and hit your name button in the upper right corner of the screen you will see a dropdown menu that includes Order History. The alcohol package and internet should show there - but only for the person who logged in. We didn't see paid gratuities anywhere on the web site or app. All three were coded on the invoice. In the past have had no problems with the standard wifi but last few weeks on Equinox did not ever have voice over internet or texting work. They did work sometimes with premium wifi Elite minutes.
  14. Normal 750ml size, yes. No corkage charge to take to the dining room either if you have a beverage package and maybe not even if you don't have a package.
  15. Just got off 19 days on Equinox and no problems with water - looked and tasted fine. Probably one circuit that they had been working on. Same thing happens at home if I work on a line. Just run it for a while and it clears up. Did have toilet water inlet valve leaking. Came close to overflowing five times but never actually did. Plumber checked it first day I reported it and said just flush again (didn't help). Have had overflows before and a pain for the steward to clean up. TV remote didn't work on several days - could change channel only once every two minutes. Worked better after I beat on it for a while to slide the batteries around. Would have changed batteries myself but they have the compartment locked with a security screw. Worked fine for steward. However internet was pretty poor when this was going on so could have easily been satellite issues. Cruise was one of the calmest, smoothest sailings we have had since restart. Great friendly crew always around and cleaning. Good food (although why donuts at lunch instead of breakfast didn't make much sense). Senior officers always around. Lower than normal chair hogs.
  16. Rent a car the day before either at Disney or Avis at the Hilton across from Disney Springs. Dropoff in Cape Canaveral. No one-way surcharges in Florida.
  17. Have never had them cancel all the ports except in a couple of cases where we were rerouted due to hurricanes. Legally they have to stop somewhere outside the US (Passenger Services Act) but the contract you agreed to is they don't have to stop anywhere that was scheduled. We've probably missed at least one port in 15% of our cruises, although usually it is when we get there and it is unsafe to dock or tender. Folks get hit with this all the time when they plan a wedding on an island and the ship misses that island.
  18. Cruising restarted August 2021 - you missed a lot. Like Oasis-class with 1400 passengers. And dining rooms with nobody else in your waiters' section so they could talk with you throughout dinner. And tour operators desperate for work. Only got covid once in 17 cruises and it was on the second half of a B2B with testing between halves. (We didn't plan on cruising that much but kept rescheduling the "two weeks" and they piled up).
  19. Had this problem for first few cruises. After 50 or so it goes away. Solution: more cruises!
  20. If person who was comped doesn't sail they will reprice the cabin at the current price for anyone in it. Easy to change names on all but one person originally booked except in this case.
  21. Just show boarding pass for second cruise. Sometimes they take them, sometimes they let you keep them. Depends on the people at the wine table. In many cases this seems to be local port people (had one bottle sealed in a taped bag with so much tape it could have survived being mailed. Tough to get it out without scissors.
  22. No camo clothes allowed in Granada! Great place to buy spices, including little woven box assortments for gifts. Personally I think their vanilla in hand-labeled bottles in the port shop is better than Cinco Soles in Mexico.
  23. Some ports require ships to buy local water and electricity. If you take one of the ship tours they will tell you that all "fresh" water is held in a separate tank, treated and tested before distributing around the ship.
  24. Or you can make reservations through your account for a specific dining room if you want.
